Minute' eS the regular meeting as held on Monday June ath were read and approved by the unam
of the Council.
Bills:l The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Barr,Chairman of
Auditing Committee,Whereupon Alderman Bynum made a motion that was seconded by Alderm
Harding that the bills be accepted as approved and the Clerk instructed to drww warra
upon the proper funds for the payment of the same.Upon the question being put before
Council,it received their unaminous vote and the Mayor so declared and instructed the

Upon the question} being put before the Council the following vote resulted.Ayes Alderme

none'.The Mayor declared the motion.as.earried and instructed the Clerk to read the ordi
the,second time.The Clerk then read the Ordin ante the second time.After some discussio
and con.AldermanSanders made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Barr that the rules
further suspended and the ordinance be placed upon its third and final reading.The foll
vote resulted Ayes Aldermen Barr,Bynum,Carter,Gregory,Harding Sanders,Stanford & Wages.
Nays None.Absent and not voteing none.The mayor declared the motion as carried and orde
the Clerk to read the ordinance.the third.and final time.The Clerk then read the ordina
the third and final time.The Mayot then put the question.Shall the ordinance pass and
following vote resulted.Ayes Aldermen Barr,BynumCarter,Harding,Sanders.Nays Aldermen
Gregory,Stanford,& WagessAbsent and not voteing.None.The Mayor declared the ordinance
passed as ther were 5 Ayes and 3 Nays.

An ordinance to be entitled."An ordinate to amend Section One of Ordinance .No.734,pass
and approved on the 20th day of April 1931".
Be it ordained by.the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas.
Section One:That Section one of Ordinance No.734,passed and approved on the 20th day o
April 1931,be and the same is -hereby amended to read as follows:
A.That it shall be unlawful for any person,firm,or corporation,to keep,run,maintain or
to be in any manner interested or connected with the keeping,running,or maintaining of
billiards,pool,or
anooker
table or tables on which
the game of
poll,billiards,or
snook
are played,where
the same
is carried on,permttted
or operated
for hire,except
that Ono
carried on and operated under the auspices of any patriotic organization chartered by
authority of a special act of Congress of the United States Government,and none other
and provided further that the proceeds from the operation of Snooker tab1pe shall be

B.That it shall bb unlawful to permit any minor.under the age. of 18.years.of age to

permitted upon the premises where such games or amusements are operated.
Section Two.That this ordinance shall be deemed cumulative and shall repeal only auho
parts of same as may be in direct conflict herewith and shall be in force and effect
and after its passage,approval,and publication.

Mr.Lemar and MteGrover George were before the Council and asked that the ordinate
I on peddling be enforced.The Mayor told them.that.he.would be glad -to enforce this
ordinance as the City was looking after all of the.revenue that was possible for the
City to obtain.
The Mayor asked the Ordinance Committee to meet with the City Attorney and draw up soy
new ordinances covering several important matters.This action was taken after Alderman
Wages made and requested some action in regards to reports as required of the Commissi
of improvement Districts by the State but was not required by City Ordinances,
Alderman Bynum made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Gregory that the Council
adjourn.Upon the question being -put before the Council,it received their unaminous vo#
and the Mayor declared the Council as adjourned.

property of Stirman Pollards property whereupon Alderman Wages made.a motion that was
seconded by Alderman Bynum that this request be granted under.the supervision of the Ci
Engineer.Upon the question being put before the Councilit.reeeived their unaminous'vote
and the Mayor so declared and instructed the Clerk to notify the City Engineer.
Mr.Henry Walker asked permission to out the curb on 41 E.Rock Street.for a driveway,whe
upon Alderman Sanders made a motion that was seconded -by Alderman Carter that this requ
