PresentlMayor T.S.Ttibble,City Clerk Wm.FdDunn,City Attorney V.James Ptak,City Engineer E.M. Minute Bills: Walker 19 Ratliff,Chief of Police Neal Cruse,Aldermen Barr,Bynum,Carter,Gregory,Harding,Sanders, Stanford do Wages, of the regular meeting as held on May 2301932 were read and approved by the unaminous vote of the ent&re Council. he follwing bill was presented after its approval by Alderman Barr,Chairman of the Auditing Committee,Whereupon Alderman Harding made a motion that was seconded by.Alde Bynum that the bill be allowed as approved and the.Clerk.be instructed to draw warr upon the proper funds for the payment of the adme.Upon the.question being put before Council,it received their unaminous vote and the Mayor so declared.BillsShumate & Wi $30.000 was asked to be appointed as a Commissioner in Duncan Street Improvement District No.35 in place of Mr Frank Grey,deceased,whereupon Alderman Sanders made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Stanford that the appointment of Mr.Walker Kelley as Commissio of District No..35 be approved.Upon the vote of the Council being taken it resulted in the unaminous vote of the Council and the M¢yor so declared and instructed the Clerk. No.743 was introduced by Alderman Stanford and read by the Clerk.Alderman Sanders made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Harding that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed upon its second reading.Upon the Mayor putting the question the following vote resulted.Ayes.Alderman Barr,Bynum,Cobber,Gregory,Harding,Sanders,Stan Wages.Nays None Absent and not voteing None.The Mayor declared the motion as carried ordered the Clerk to read the Ordinance the second time.The Clerk then read the Ordi n Its.entirety.After much discussion both pro and con a motion was made by Alderman seconded by Alderman Stanford that the rules be further.suspended and the ordinance tie ced on its third and final reading.Upon the question being put before the Council it Bynum, eived the following vote.Ayes.Alderman Carter,Gregory,Harding,Sanders,Stanford,& Wages, Alderman Barr.Absent and not voteing N&ne.The Mayor declared the motion as carried as there were 7 Ayes and 1 Naye and instructed the Clerk to read the Ordinance the th and final time.The Clerk then read the Ordinance the Third and final time.The Mayor t put the question,shhll the Ordinance pass.The following.vote.resulted.~ldermen Barr, Bynum,Carter,Grgory,Harding,Sanders,Stanford,Wages voted Aye.Nays None.Absent and not voteing None. The Mayor declared the Ordinance as passed and mrdered the same published Ordinance No.743.1�ff An Ordinance entitled"To amend Section One of Ordinance No 3940passed and approved on 20th day of June 1919. it ordained.by the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas. ction One:That section one of ordinance No.394,passed and approved on the 20th day of ne 1919,be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows -That hereafter it shall for any person,firm,or Corporation,who is a resident Citizen or any firm or tion,who owns or operates a business within the corporate -limits of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,to own or drive any motor driven Taxi cab,omnibus,truck or motor le,without first having paid a liscense fee for the same. Sectoin Two:That this ordinance shall be deemed cumulative and shall repeal only such parts of Ordinance N0.3940as may be in direct conflict herewith and shall be in force and effect from and diter its passage,approval and publication.
