3:Uncer the protests as filed by the property owners in Curb & Gutter Improvement Distr•i,
No.38 and Paving Improvement District Ido.39.The Committer; composed of Alderman Witt
Cal ter,G.T.Sanders,R.E.Wages made the following report and recommendations.
To The Honorable Mayor and City Council of the City of Fa.yetteville,Arkansas.
Vie,the undersigned Committee on Improvement Districts #36 and #39,have made investigat
of the following list of property.
Addie R.Cole assessed at 338.00.
Guy Brown it 0 238.00.
Mrs.Nora Moulden it it 348.31.
James Dinwiddie it " 607.05,
J.L.Slaughter It
It 350.25.
Vi.S.Duggan it " 516.72 and lowered to 275.00.

We, in our opinion find the assessments are not uniform and in line with other property
said districts.
also find that said Commissioners have bonds of $500.00 in each district to retire

year,making a total of $1.000QOO and approximately $'550.00 interes# in each distr�ct
a total of $$1.100.00.Iv':aking a total of bonds and interest of $2.100.00,
also find the assessment as spread on the books is 5$18,083.79,and that if 6 2/30
isicollected would return approximately $$1,216.93 in each district and could make
oximately $2,433.86.After retireing the bonds and interest for 1932 "mould leave
a balance of approximately 0333.86.
,we find by reports of Commissioners filed September 1,1932,was a balance of $77420
a total on hand of $1,075.86 for 1933.
in view of these findings,wo would reccommend to your honorable body that the

After the reading of the report and reccommendations of the Committee Alderman Uynum

Jail: Alderman Wages presented nn estimate coet of s City jail complete with cells.at an
estimate cost of $$780.60.Under a discussion it was brought out that the cells could be
left out with some other changes,viherupon Alderman Harding made amotion that was second
by Alderman Carter that the Committee be instructed to go further into the different wa
of erecting the jail with more compltet details of each project.Upon the question being
put befor. the Counell,it iaoceived their unaminous vote and the Mayor do declared and
instructed the Committee.
Gas.Bur on:The: Clerk then brought up the question of allowing a gas bill to the amount not to
exceed $$15.00 per month for the use of his car on the Police force at night.Aldc man
^rding then rinde eaction that the bill be allowed for a poriod of three months.The
motion cies lost for tine went of a second.

to cut the curb in f:•ont of the store building that lie was erecting on North C61lege
Avenue,wherupon Alderman Gregory made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Stanford
that this permit be granted and the cork to be done under the supervision of the City
Engineer.Upon question being put before the Courcil,it received their unaminous vote
the Mayor so declared.
Alderman Bynum made a motion that was seconded by Alderman Stanford that the Council
ad•journ.Upon the question being put -before the Council it received their unaminous vol
and the Mayor declared the Council as adjourned.
