Fayetteville 6ity Council met in regular session on Monday January 4th,1932.
PRESENT:' Mayor Pro.Tem J.F.Stanford,City Clerk V1m.F.Dunn,City Attorney V.James Ptak,Chief of Police
Neal Cruse.Aldermen Barr,Bynum,Harding,Sanders,Scott,,Stanford & Wages. -Absent Alderman Pearson.
IMINUTES if the regular meeting of the City Council as held on December 28th,1931 were read and approvI
by the unaminous vote of the City Council.
BILL83 The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Scott -,Chairman of the
Auditing Committee wherupon Alderman Wages made a motion that the bills be allowed as approved
and the Clerk be instructed to draw warrants upon the proper funds for their payment.This motion
was seconded bib Alderman Harding after J.F.Stanford was elected Mayor Pro.Tem, by the unaminous v

The following monthly reports were read in,.their entirety.Mayor T.S.Tribble'as City Purchase in
;Agent,Wm.F.Dunn as City Clerk,M*Cunningham as City Collector, J.M. Phillips as Police Judge, NeI
Cruse as Chief of Police,Clyde Walters as Chief of the Fire Department.The following yearlyy
reports were read in their entirety.T.S.Tribble as Mayor,Wm.F.Dunn as City C1erk,M.Cunningham
as City Collector,Clyde Walters -as Chief of Fire Department.After their reading a motion was
made by -Alderman Ha4land seconded by Alderman Scott that the reports be accepted as read and
Clerk be instructed to ile the same in their proper manner.Upon the motion being put before the
Mayor Pro.Tem.
Council,it received their unaminous vote and the 8eanell so declared.
GREFNHAW0 A bill was read from Karl Greenhaw for $75.00 for his services as attorney in,the Willow Ave.
'Improvement District investigation,wherupon a motion was made by Alderman Harding that the. bill
be allowed and the Clerk instructed to draw a warrant upon the General Fund for the payment
of the same.This motion was seconded by Alderman Sanders.Upon the question being put before the
ICouncil,it received their unaminous vote and the Mayor Pro.Tem so declared.

Ordinance No.741. A motion was made by Alderman Harding and seconded by Alderman Wages that this ordinanc
No.741 be placed upon its third and final reading.Upon the question being put before the Council
the following vote resulted.Ayes Alderman Barr,Bynum,Harding,Sanders,Stanford,Scott & Wages.

Nays None Absent & not voteing Alderman Pearson. The Ordinance was then read the third time.
The Moyor Pro.Tem then put the question before the Council.Shall this Ordinance pass.Upon tie

question being put,it received the following vote Ayes Alderman Barr,Bynl4Earding,Sanders,Scott,
Stanford & Wages. Nays None. Absent and not boteing Alderman Pearson.The Mayor Pro.Tem then
declared the Ordinance as passed.

OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS,TO AWARD A CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF FIRE HOSE FOR THE CITY F
DEPARTMENT"
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLROARKANSAS:
THAT the Board of Public Affairs of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,be,and are hereby
authorized and directed to award a contract for the 13urchase from Hewitt- Gutta Purcha Rubb
Co. of Buffalo,N.Y. of 1,000 feet of 2Q inch fire hose(Baker Fabric) at a cost of not to ex

the sum of $1,200.00. That this 9rddnance shall take effect and be in force from and after
passage,approval and publication.
