MINUT": of the regular meeting as held by the City Council on Sept.21,1931 were read and approved
by the unaminous vote; of the Council.

BILLS: The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Scott,Chairman of the A
Auditing Committee,and a motion vias made by Alderman Harding that the bills be allowed as
approved and that the Clerk he instructed to draw warrants upon the proper funds for the

payment of the same. This motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum. Upon the question being put
before the Council,it carried unaminously and the Clerk vias so instructed by the Yayor. Bills

INTEREST. A bill was presented by the Clerk for .interest from the First National. Bank for interest
on overdraft to the amount of $22,78, whdreupon Alderman Scott made a motion that this amount
be allowed and the Clerk be instructed to draw a warrant upon: the General Fund for this amount

in payment of the same.This motion was seconded by Alderman Stanford.Upon the question being)
put before the Council,it received their unaminous vote and the Mayor so declared.

FIRE HOSE: Fire Chief Walters appeared before the Council and stated that it was necessary that the
fire department have at least 1,000 feet of 2:'s inch fire hose in order to meet the insurance!

requirement s.l'Ihereupon,Alderman Wages made a motion that the Clerk be instructed to advertise
!for bids on 1,000 feet of 21 inch fire hose.same to be in the Clerks office on or before

Oct.15,1931.This motion was seconded by AldermanPearson.The Iviayor then put the question before

I the Council and the same received the unaminous mote of the same.
REPORTS: The following finianceal reports from the following Improvement Districts were presented to
the Council.Hill Avenue,Annex llo.l to East Street No.l. and East Street NO.l.,Annex No.2 to
East Street,Viaber Improvement District No.3,V'ill.ow Avenue Improvement Distract No.1,Annex
Iio.l to College Avenue Improvement District No.1,North College Avenue Improvement District
No.I.A motipn vias made by Alderman Viages and seconded by Alderman Sanders that these reports

;be accepted and the Clerk be instructed to file the same in 'eir proper manner.This received
ithe unaminous vote of the Council and the Clerk was so instructed by the Y'ayor.
CURB PUMPS. Alderman Pearson brought up the Ordinance on Curb ptunps and nRde a motion that the amount
be inserted,where they were left blank in preperation of the ordinance to read X10.00 in
(blank space before Highways 71,62,45,16,and Dixon Streets and. in the space left blank for
distance from the square that the word two be inserted in that space,in the other space left'
blank for amount that the amount4v5.00 be inserted in that space. This maotion was seconded
by Alderman Barr.Upon the question the following vote resulted.Ayes Alderman Barr,Bynirn
Pearson,Sanders,Scott, Stanford, Vlages.Nays.Alderman Harding.Absent and not: voting.Nome.
Alderman Pearson then made a motion that the ordinance be placed upon its third and final
reading.This motion was seconded by Aldermen Sanders. Upon the question being put,it received
.the following vote.Ayes Alderman Barr, Bynum,Harding,Pearson, Sanders, Scott,Stanford, Vlages.
Piays.None.Absent and not voting None.
The ivg6nance was read the third and final time. The Itiiayor then put the question shall. the
ordinance pass,whereupon the following vote resulted upon calling the roll.Ayes Barr,Bynum,

declared the ordinance as passed as 8 had voted in the affirmative and there were no dissenting

having'pbtained a written permit in writeing to be issued by the City
�Clork after the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas has approved such curb pumo

mumps and consented to its installation and operation,it being within the discretion of the
said City Council whether such permit shall issue or not.
SFCTIO14 TVIO:Furtbermore,that a 19scense fee shall.1 be issued ancl, collected as all other liscenses
due the City,for the privilidge.of.so installing,maintaining and oper&ting such curb pump
or pumps and the,liscense fee shall be 010.00 per pump,per year,on all curb pumps located on

Highways X171 and 62;State Highways x`16 &nd #45,within the corporate limits of the City of

Fayetteville.Arkansas;on Dickson Street and within a radius of two blocks of the 'Square" in

City of Fayettevil.le,Arkansas.All curb pump or pumps at any other location within the corporate

SECTION THREE: Any person,persons,firm,or corporation violating this ordinance shall. be dee
