FAYETTEVILLE CITY COUNCIL MET IPI REGULAR SESSION ON SEPTEMBER 21st,1931.

MINUTES The minutes of the regular meeting of the City Council as held on Sept.17,1931. amd was
read and approved by the unaminous vote of the Council.
BILLS: The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman\I rding of the auditing
committee and were upon a motion $Tyakldbrmbih Wages that the bills be allowed and the City Clerk be
'instructed to draw warrants upon the proper fthnds for their payment -.This was seconded by Al erman
Harding.Upon the question being put,it carried unaminously and was so ordered by the Mayor.
REPORTS: The following finiancial reports were reported by the Clerk from the Commissioners of their
respective districts.University Improvement District No.1,Improvement District 1%To.36,Curb & Cutter
No.37,Vlater District No.2,School Improvement District No.1,Improvement District No.38,

Improvement District No.39,;'iest Meadow Improvement District NO.l.A motion was made by Ald
Sanders and seconded by Alderman V!ages. That the reports be accepted and the Clerk be inst
to file the same in their proper manner. This motion carried unaminously and the Mayor so
instructed the Clerk.
ER: Mrs B.F.Harper,who lives on South University Street and which is in the Fire Zone asked
for a permit to build a sun parlor on the north of her residence. A motion was made by

Alderman Harding and seconded by Alderman Sanders that she be permitted to build this sun -
parlor under conditions pertaining to permits granted in the intermediate zones.This ques
passed unaminously upon the question being put before the Council.
CUTTINGJCURBS:A petetion or request was asked to cilt the curb in front of his building used as a

on Vest Street.This request' was made by J.S.Bates. A motion was made by Alderman Pearson,
seconded by Alderman Harding that this request be granted,work to be done under the super.vi ion
of the City Engineer.Upon the Question being put,it carried unaminously.
Assistant City Engineer Gary reported that the Curb had beene cut on I'!est !Maple Street by
DElta Delta Delta Soraority and as it conformed to the City regulations that he would race

and the Clerk was instructed to notify the Commissioners of the District of the same.
ORDINANCE: An ordinance was introduced by Alderman Viages entitled.Aii ORDINANCE TO REGULATE THE
I!xTSTALLATION.IiAIITTAINANCE,AND OPERATION OF GASOLINE CURB PUMPS WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS
IOF THE CITY OF FAYFTTEVILLE,ARKANSAS. The Ordinance was rend the first time.Alderman Harding
that the rules be suspended and the Ordinance be placed upon'its second reading.This
was seconded by Alderman Scott.Upon the motion being put by the lvlayor,;t received the
