MINUTES: The minutes of the regular meeting as held on August 31st were read and approved by the
unaminous vote of the Council.
BILLS: The following bills were presented after their approval by Alderman Harding of the Auditing
committee and a motion was made by Alderman Harding that the bills be allowed as approved
and the Clerk be instructed tb draw warrants upon the proper funds for their payment. This
(motion was seconded by Alderman Sanders and upon the question being put before the Council

REPORTS The following reports were read in their entirety to the Council.The Mayor T.S.Tribble gave '
his monthly report as Purchaseing Agent.The regular monthly report of the City C1erk,W.I,1.F.
Dunn was read. The report for the month of August from City Collector L?.Cunningham was read.
The regular monthly report of J.M.Phillips as Police Judge was read. The Monthly report of th
(Chief of the Fire Department,Clyde Halters was read.The following Improvement Districts made
their yearly finiancial reports.District No.42,District No.35,Sewer Improvement District No.i,
and. Annex No.l. toP_ ,eewer Improvement District. No.1.motion was made by Alderman Sanders
that these reports be received as read and the Clerk be instructed to file the same in the
proper manner.This was seconded by Alderman Harding.Upon the question being put ib received
the unaminous vote of the Council and was so orddred by the Mayor.
ELECTRIQ VIR ING: Idr Oliver Lollar appeared before the council and asked. tb wire a house that he was
building in the fire zone with armoured electric cable instead of with a conduit as required by
the Code.After some discussion and it was shown that by reason of our ordinance as it now atinds
that there had been a reduction of 5233,000.00, in fire premiums over the city that they woul
make no exceptions to the ordinance.
WILL01V AVE. City attorney V.James Ptak and Attorney Cark Greenhaw were present and Attorney Greenhaw
explained the progress made to date in the case of Willow Avenue Improvement District in regard
to the $6,500.00 note as claimed by the city as oweing to the City.They said that they would not
rake a final report until further investigation.
IA motion was made by Alderman Scott and seconded by Alderman Barry that the Council adjourn:
(Upon the question being put it received the unaminous vote of the Council and the Mayor
declared the Council as adjourned.
