MIINUTES The minutes of the regular Council as held on August 24,193.1 were.read and approved by the
iinaminous vote of the Council.
BILLS: IThe following bills were presented after their proper approval b -y Alderman Scott,Chairman of
REPORTS
the Auditing Committee and were upon a motion by Alderman Harding that the bills be allowed
as approved and ordered paid and warrants be drawn upon the proper fund for their payment.
This motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum. Upon the question being put before the Council
it received their unaminous vote and their payment was so ordered by the Mayor,
The report of ,the Street Sweeper reported 184 blocks of paved streets cleaned.Alderman Bynum
(made a motion that this report be accepted and clerk file the same in its proper manner. This
motion was seconddd by Alderman Sanders. Upon the motion being put it received the unaminousl
vote of the Council and was so ordered by the Mayor.
Alderman Scott made a motion that in order to eliminate so much work that in the future that
the street sveaner make his report monthly in place of weekly.This motion was seconded by
'Alderman Wages. Vpon.the question being put before the Council it received their unaminous
vote and was so ordered by the Mayor.
City Attorney V.James Ptak reported that he,with the co-operation of the committee as
appointed by the Mayor to select some attorney to assist him in the matter of the legality
and collectability of the $6500.00 note as owed by the Willow Avenue Improvement District,
had selected Idlr.Greenhaw.Alderman Pearson made a motion that the selection of Mr.Greenhaw
as attorney to Assist City Attorney V.James Ptak in the Above mentioned report be accepted
by the Council.This was seconded by Alderman Harding. Upon the motion being put before the
Council,it carried the unaminous vote of the same and. was so declared by the mayor.
A motion was made by Alderman Bynmm and seconded by Alderman Sanders That the Council
adjourn.Upon the question being put it received the unaminous vote of the Council and the
Council was declared adjourned by the Liayor.
