REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THr
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE;ARKANSAS, HELD FEBRUARY
23rd, 1931,

THF MINIIT?S of the meeting of Februaryl6,1931 were read and approved.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS against the City,properly approved, were allowed and ordered Paid and the Clerk wa
directed to issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman
j Fuller, passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared. by the Mayor;-
UBRISH The Mayor reported having inspected the rubbish north of the Confederate Cemetery,and
. of Con,
emetery; expressed the opinion that it could not be successfully covered with earth without incurring
an expense beyond the limits of any advisable sum,considering the financial condition of the
City.
RB PUMPS Jack:Hipht applied for permission to install two curb pumps on Mountain Street at they

THE The City Engineer presented a report on the ap$lication of Mr Collins for Permission

to alter the sidewalk at his building on North Block Street,to the effect that the change
would be detremental to the City and of no particular advantage to Mr Collins,and that he
could not approve the application, Alderman Bynum moved that the report be accepted. This j
motion was seconded by Alderman Scott, passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so
declared by '-he Mayor.

STR. Mr McDonald was present and on behalf of the citizens interested,accepted the propo-

Isition of the Council, that the City, the Improvement District and the Owners divide the
,estimated expense of $90.00 equally. It was agreed that when the owners and the Improvement
District shall have deposited the sum of $60.00 to the credit of the City for this purpose,
the work will be done
