ENT: The Mayor T.S,Tribble, Clerk J.C.Massie, Attorney V.James Ptak, Chief of'Police Neal Cruse; Aldermen John Bynum, Don Fuller, C.T.Harding, Clem Pearson, J.F.Stanford, S.S.Stephens; Absent Engineer E.M.Ratliff, Aldermen Roy Scott and R.E.Viages. MINU ES of the meeting of February 2, 1931 were read and approved. rHE FOLLO111ING BILLS against the City properly approved,were allowed and ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Fuller, seconded by Alderman Bynum, passed by the unanimous vote of the members present,and so declared by the Mayor;- George Stewart $6.25; D.R.Holt $5.00;Sam Delozier x}0:70; H.H.Holland $2.50;Seburn Page x$,3.7 J.A.McGouah ?2.50;Tom Carson ?3.75; J.t'I.Shelly x"42.50; Ben Porter 18.75. REPORT: The report of the Street Cleaner,showing 165 blocks cleaned during the week was presented, and on motion duly passed,was ordered received and filed. LIGHT: A hid for the installation of lights for the Clock on the County Court House by Mr Faus Gary, at $40.00 and $10.00 Per year for maintaining same was presented. Action in the matter was deferred. Mathis More time .was granted the City Engineer for his report in the matter of constructing culvert; a cover for gutter at the store of Mr Mathis on Garland Avenue, WTSON AVE. Additional time was granted for report on lowering sidewalk on the South side of Wat I WALKS: son Avenue. I Uni. Ord. Additional time was granted the City Attorney and the Ordinance Committee for report din the matter of the ordinance for the protection of the University property. FIR7 TRUCKi The bids for the furnishing of casings and inner tubes for the Type 75 Fire Truck CASINGS: were turned over to the Board of Public Affairs,for further action and report. Cillins building on GRANT'?D, SUBJECT TO SUPTRVISION F N� Block; on North Block Rvenue was rdf"isdd'�'t-cv :the City Engineer, fit e.pQ t� AUDIT: Mr. R.C.Frambers, of R.C.Frambers & Company was present and filed his bill for Makin an audit of the City books, in the sum of $250.00. Whereupon Alderman Pearson moved that th audit be accepted and the Clerk directed to issue a warrant to R.C.Frambers & Company in payment for the same. This motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum and received the following vote: ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Stanford, Stephens; nays none; absent and not voting Aldermen Scott and Wages, and was declared passed by the Mayor. REPORT OF Mr i%.S.Campbell presented a report from the Aviation Committee with the following FLYING FIELD COMMITT77: letter of communication;- ; FAYETTFVILLE,ARKANSAS, February 9th, 1931. To the Hon Mayor and City Council, Fayetteville, Arkansas; The Aviation Committee of the Fayetteville Chamber Of Commerce, Appointed October, 1929 and arproved by its Board of Governors,and empowered by ,you to act as your agent in the purchase,construction and maintainance of a Municipal Airport,desires to submit for ,your approval plans and recommendations of ,your City Engineer for the develop ment of the site purchased some months ago. His plans and recommendations are attached to t communication The Committee has ins'.ructed.its secretary to say to you that should ,you see fit to approve these plans and recommendations,they will proceed with the work with the care,caution and dispatch they are -sure ,you expect them to exercise. This motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum ,received the unanimous vote o the members present and was declared passed by the Mayor. The Mayor apain presented the matter of clearing the stumps out of Ila Avenue,and (grading the same,and reported that Tom Carson and others had proposed to remove the stumps ,for ?40.00. After discussion by members of the Council, Alderman Pearson moved that th Abid of these .gentlemen be accepted ,and the work carried through. This motion was seconded by Alderman Stephens and received the following vote; ayes Aldrrmen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Stanford, Stephens; nays none, absent and not voting Aldermen Scott and l^!ages, and was dellared passed by the Mayor. on motion by Alderman Pearson, seconded by Alderman Bynum, and duly passed, the Clerk 0. c�.oG..,.% o�e.w.9,,,,, lye✓ was directed to furnish the Mayor with a list of the bonds made by the Home,to the end that the Mayor may have the'same renewed in some other Company.
