THE MINUTI,S of the mebting, of January 19th,1931 :Paere read and approved.
THE FOLLOJING BILLS against the City,properly approved,were allowed and ordered paid and the Clerk was
directed to issue warrants for the same on motion by 41derann Hardin SG seconded by Alderman
F uller, passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so dedlared by the Mayor;-

EPORTS: The report of the Street Cleaner showing 188 blocks during, the week. 7�aq /i-/ ra vr►�✓,l/
The City Thgineer reported that the proposed lowering, of the::fftt t}rJSaaZ:: sidewalk along 150
'atATSON AVE.
"jALK: feet of "tatson Avenue would cost about $90,00; and suggested that said cost'be slpit three
ways,;- one-third to City, One-third to Improvement District No. 42 and one-third to the owners
of the abutting property.

Alderman Harding moved that the report be accepted and the suggesteo

Idopted,and the Mayor authorized to negotiate.with the District and the Property owners with
the view of securing tbir acceptance of same. This motion was duly seconded by .Alderman Bynum
gassed by the unanimous vote of the Council and declared passed by he Mayor.
TIN -SHOP The Committee appointed to investigate the matter of building a Tin -Shop at 213 S.)
Tllock reported adversely on the proposition,whereupon Alderman Bynum moved that the request for
ermit to erect the building be denied. Alderman Fuller seconded the motion which receivedthe
unanimous vote of the Council and was declared passed by the Mayor.
Mt SEQUOYAH Judge Seamster and Mr T.L.Hart were present and explained the road -building projects
ROADWAY:
of the Western Methodist Assembly,connecting with the City Streets,and asked that the City
a propriate x;500.00 to pay for gravelling Mission Street and a portion of the Idt.Sequoyah Road
laying within the City Limits. They proposed to secure the placing of "Black -top" finish on th
same in connection with the Assembly reads.
Follltowing this explanation,the matter was fully
discussed by the City Council,an�5 the Chairman of the Finance committee being of the opinion
that the budget could bear the expense, and it being regarded as a much needed work, and of
high value to the City, Alderman Harding moved that the Mayor and the City Clerk be,and are
authorized and directed to issue a warrant in the sum of $500.00 payable to Tom Hart, Trustee
,Yawn on the Street Fund,for the purpose of gravelling Mission Avenue from the end of the
pavement to the City Limits and such portion of Mt Sequoyah Road as .lies within the City limits.
Alderman Stanford seconded the motion which received the follo;ting vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum,
Filler, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens, i'lages; nays none, absent and not voting
none. The Mayor doc:lared the motion passed.
1)RIVEt?AY Mr Dakon requested permission to cut the curb for a driveway into his property on
Dakon;
Meadow street I'lest from School Avenue,which was granted subject to supervision by the City
T�rlgineer.

CLOCK Alderman Harding moved that the I4ayor ber requested to confer with electricians
LIGHT:
as to cost and with the County Judge as to current expense for a light to show up the Court-
hiuse Clock.This motion was seconded by Alde man Bvnum,and received the unanimous vote of the
Council. The Mayor 1Qclared the motion passed.
No further business appearing the Council adiourne
on motion duly passed.
