J.F.Stanford, S.S.Stephens, R.E.wages. of the meeting of December 8th,1930 were read and approved. G BILLS against the City,properly approved,were allowed and ordered paid and the Clerk was rected to issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Harding,seconded ny Alderman F ller,passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayor;- E.Id.Ratliff $23.70;J.VI.Shelly $42.50; Ben Porter p18.75;N.F.McClelland F.Blake d"2.50;Otis Guthrie $3.00;L.B.Uhl $8.60; Southwestern Bell Tel Co., $32.28; Rogers olesale Grocery Comgpny $12.65;Jack Myers $2.50.' The .report of the Street Cleaner showing 177 blocks cleaned during the ek,was presented and on motion,ordered filed. The City Frgineer pi+esented his report on the land Avenue project,which was ordered filed. The discussion of this report followed,and ulted in the presentation by Alderman Harding,of a motion to request a proposition from School Board for the consideration of the Council. Apetition praying for the formation of an Improvement District for the purrose of re -paving a portion of South School Avenue,from Prairie Avenue to Mountain Street CT Harding ve.; was presented,whereupon Alderman Ptgargon moved that said petition be received, filed placed of record. This motion was seconded by Alderman Scott and received the follow - vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens, Wages; ys none; absent and nQt voting, nove. The Mayor decla red the motion passed. A copy of the petition is as follo-.vs;- o THE HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS. We,the undersigned owners of real property in the Ci of Fayetteville,Arkansas,and of the District hereinafter described and set forth,respectfully petition ,your honorable body to take all necessary steps and to pass all necessary ordinanc1s, resolutions and orders to form an Improvement District for the pur'ose of grading,rolling an paving South School Avenue from the South line of Prairie Avenue to the intersection of School Avenue and Mountain Street in said City. The property to be included in the District to be assessed for the purpose of carrying out the improvement hereinbefore mentioned is described by metes and bounds as follows; Beginning at the Northwest corner of Block Thirty- three(33) in the Original town of Fayetteville,Ark»nsas,according to the map or plat of the City of Fayetteville,made by Burns and McDonnell,and running thence East 161 feet to the North-east corner of Lot Three (3),Block 33;thence South to the Southeast corner of said lot Three (3);thence west 3SS:°S 12.2 feet to the Northeast corner of lot Six (6) in said Block 33;thence South to the Southeast corner of Lot Seven (7) in said Block;thence southeasterly to a point on the Southl-liwI line of Rock Street which is 162.92 feet F,gst of the Northwest corner of Block 38 in said town;thence South to the South line of said Block 38; thence Southwest to the Northeast corner of lot Twelve In (12) in Block 12 Ferguson's Addition to said town; thence South to a point which is twenty feet South of the Northeast corner of Lot Nine (9) in Block 11 Ferguson's Addition;thence' west to the Vlest line of School Avenue; South - thence North 60 feet to the BFoPt- t east corner of.lot Nine (9) in Block 13 of Ferguson's Addition;thence west to .the Southwest corner of said Lot 9 in Block 13 of said Addition; thence North to the Northwest corner of Lot One (1) in "lock 13 of said Addition;thence No across South Street to a point which is the center of the South line of Block 37 in the Original town of Fayetteville;thence North along the center line of said Block 37 to the North line of said Block;thence Northwesterly across Rock Street to the Southwest corner of Lot ri<At A'(8a) iFi Block 34 of said Original town; thence East along the South line of 545 Mountain Street to the pAace of beginning,said boundaries embracing the following Lots and parts of Lots,Blocks or parts of Blocks.to-wit; Lots 3,4,6,7 in Block 33 Lotsl,2,8,8a,9 and 10 in Block 34;.
