THF FOLLgI'VING BILLS against the City,properly approved,were allowed and ordered paid,and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Fuller, seconded by Alder- man Harding, passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayor;- ?.M.Ratliff W , 40;Lucas & Cosby N64.06; J.17.Shelly $42.50;F.W.Shuford $5*00; Fayetteville Coal I Company ?$2.00;Abshier-Bryan Motor Comapny $14.90; Magnolia Petroleum Company $44.43; Ben I I eorter x18.75; Otis Guthrie $13.50;John Zillah x;10.00; A.B.Upton $1.35;1.C.Ucker x$12.26. The Bill of A.C.Ucker was for damages sustained by his milk truck in a collision ith the City Sweeper.and was approved separately by action of the Council,on motion by Alder- ldel I Harding,seconded by Alderman Fuller,passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so oclared by the liayor. 'HOOD Dr. H.D.Wood was present and suggested to the Council the advisability of taking ,some action in the matter of securing U.S. aid in paving Government Avenue in connection with the movement to get such aid for paving East Rock street. The matter was discussed to (some extent,but final action was deferred. I !SOUTH The proposition of re-ppving South. School Street from Prairie Avenue to Mountain Str. 'SCHOOL I OAVING:+: with assistance from the Highway Department, and with aid from the city to the extent of j paying the remaining assessments against the property involved in the School Street Improve -I', ment District Number One was discussed,and on motion duly passed,the City Engineer was di- rected to investigate and report as to the cost to the City in assuming said assessments. This action was had on motion by Alderman Pearson,seconded by Alderman Wages passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the 'Mayor. I M.L.Price: The request of M.L.Price for aid in re -arranging the drainage at the inteasection of Bynum ".lest Spring Street and West Avenue was considered and on motion by Alderman Pullov,seconded by Alderman Stanford,and duly passed,was denied.
