Co., 5;31.93;Greer Abstract Go., $6.00; Pearson & Pearson $50.00 I REPORTS: The Weekly report of the Street Cleaner,shoning 205 blocks cleandd during the week; The monthly reports of the Purchasing Agent, C6ty Collector, Police Judge, City Clerk and the n Fire Chief were presented and on motion duly passed were oddered filed. OATFf f OR (ACTING The City Clerk reported that he had administered the oath of office tb C.T.Keller 'POLICE 1JUDGF as Acting Police Judge,on Saturday November 1st, 1930. AIRPORT Mr Morgan McMichaels was present and addressed the Council in reference to the matter of FUNDS: reconsidering the action of the Council in making a transfer of $1,950.00 from the Flying Field Fund the the General Fund on account of payment from said general Fund of said sum in, the purchase and improvement of the old Aviation Field. After general discussion,Alderman I ':'ages moved ;-"That the Mayor and the City Clerk be,and they are hereby authorized and directed to transfer from the General Fund to the Flying Field Fund,when and as needed to meet the requirements and obligations of said Flying Field Fund,the sum of tiA,11950.00." Alderman Harding seconded this motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum' y i (Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens, Viages; nays none,absent and not voting i none, and was declared passed by the Mayor. P,?SIGNA- "!.S.Duggans presented his resignation from the Plumbers Examining Board,and Roy tto�i m] ONS: ' Broyles presented his resignation from the Gas -Fitters Examining Board. Alderman Pearson Proved I that both of these resignations be accepted. This motion was seconded by Alderman Bynum and i received the unanimous vote of the Council,and was declared passed by the Mayor, I I11.'7.READ; D,17,Read and Homer Christman •.-fere nominated to be members of the Board of Examiners H014rR CHRISTWAfor Plumbers,both as Master Plumbers. By the unanimous vote of the Council,they were duly elected and appointed to be members of said Board. i 9ID1177Y On motion passed by the unanimous vote of the Council,Sidney Bond was appointed to 'SOI'?D be a member,as Journeyman, of the Board of Examiners of Gas -Fitters. U ORD.: Alderman Stanford introduced an ordinance providing for t;he further regulation of G.;S 111AT71A H74T?R: Gas -Fitters and Plumbers in the matter of installing Gas Vater Heaters,which was read the far (time. Ald rman Harding moved that the Rules be suspended and the ordinance placed on its 'second reading. This motion was duly seconded by Alderman Pearson and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scot, Stanford, Stephens Wages; nays Inone,ard was declared passed by the Mayor. The Ordinance was read tle se and time. After discussion, further action on the ordinance was deferred to the next regular meeting. GAS The City Attorney was directed to investigate the matter of the compliance op the F'oANCHIS TArkansas 17estern Gas Comapny with the terms of its franchise.and to take such steps a he deemed proper and necessary to secure such compliance. This action was had on motion by Alderman Pearson,seconded by Alderman Stanford and passed by the un•inimous vote of the Council HOT A petition signed by a large number of citizens requesting that Manuel Flores be TOMALAS permitted to sell Hot Tomalas from a hand cart on the streets of the City was presented The Council took the position that the matter was covered by the City ordinances,refused Ito take further action on the ground that the final disposition of the matter was in the 3 3G power of the Mayor and the Police Department. CND: OF The bond of M.F.Fischer & Son as Plumbers was presented and on motion by Alderman .F.FISCHV,R ka•3+d3xtg Pearson,seconded by Alderman Bynum and passed by the unanimous vote of the me: hers resent,was ordered received,approved and filed. URB PUMP Mr A.F.Shumate applied for permisson to install gas tanks and curb pumps at the S.Ei T.F.SHUME: korner of the intersection of Mission and Maple streets. On motion by Alderman Peaason,seconged Alderman Scott,and passed by the unanimous vote of the members present this request was anted under the provisions of the ordinances of the city pert=aining thereto.
