THE MINUIRS of the meeting of October 20,1930 were read and approved.
THE FOLL 17ING BILLS against the city,properly approved,were allowed and ordered paid and the clerk
was directed to issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Harding,seconded by Alderman
9cott,passed by the unanimius vote of the members present and so declared by the Mayor; -

The bonds of VJ.S.Duggans, Homer Christman, John A. Roberts and D.W. Read,as Gas -
fitters were presented and on motion were accepted,approved. and ordered filed.
The names of J.T.Gage, 19.M.Fishback Loy Bishop and C.T.Keller were presented as
applicants for the position of Acting Police Judge during the absence of Judge Rollins from i
the office,whereupon an election was held with the result that C.T.Keller received 4 votes,
C'.M.Fishback 2 votes and J.T.Gage 1 vote,when the Mayor C.T.Keller duly elected to the
position of Acting police Judge,for a period not to exceed 30 days.
Onmotion by Alderman Pearson,seconded by Alderman Stanford the salary of the Acting Police
Judge was fixed
at $50.00
per month,beginning November lst,1930.This action
was had
on. the
passage of said
motion by
the vote of ayes, Aldermen Bynum,Harding, Pearson,
Scott,
Stanford, I
Stephens; nays Alderman Fuller; absent and not voting Alderman !:.'ages.
The term of B.F.Campbell as a member of the Board og Managers of the City Fater Plant

aving expired, Aldergian Harding moved that Mr Campbell be re -appointed to said position for'
T: a term of fivr years,ending September 7th,1935.Alderman Pearson seconded the motion)
which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Herding, Pearson,
cost, Stanford,Stephens;nays none;abeent and not voting Alderman Wages. I

TRANSFER Alderman Pearson introduced a resolution to transfer certain funds from the Street

to the General Fund and moved its passage; Alderman Fuller seconded the motion which
the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Hearson, Scott, Stanford,Stephens;
none; absent and not voting Alderman 'Mages. The Mayor declared the motion passed and the
resolution adopted. A copy is as follows; -
R E S O L U T I O N.
;Certain warrants of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,to-wit;-
is numbered 11767,11768,11769,issued in payment for street -working machine.ry;and
grants numbered 11525,11526, 11384,13379,1338011.3381,13382, 14315 to 14324 inclusive,
to 14502 inclusive,and 14521 to 14530 inclusive,issued in payment -for paving of inter-
ections of streets were all issued payable from the General Fund in order to better secure
holders thereof,and
RTAS; it was intended that said warrants should be paid from the street funds,as is
,right and .just;
THFRFFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI`rY OF }AYSTTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS:
'SECTION ONE:
That the Mayor and the City Clerk be,and they are hereby authorized and directed
to transfer from the Street Fund to the General Fund,from time to time as said warrants
become due,a sufficient sum of money to pay said warrants when and as they shall become due

and payable.
SECTION T':10:
That this resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage and approval,and all resolutions in conflict herewith be,and the same are hereby,
repealed.

Mr D.15.Read explained to the Council that recent changes in the regulations which
govern the installation of electric wiring rendered him ineliigible to serve as an electri-
cal
-Norkman,and
hence made his license
for that
purpose valueless,and requested
that a lic
as
gas fitter be
issued him instead. On
motion
this request was -ranted and the
Collector
instructed to issue the license,without further cost to Mr Read,
REPORT O1II Mr C?.S.Campbell was present and presented the report of the Airport Committee,whi
AIR -PORT(
COM.: !in substance was as follows; -That the committee had entered into contract for the purchase
lof 170-1/10 acres of land,located as described in the deeds conveying the same for a total
price of $14,057.50; -that abstracts of title had been examined and approved by Pearson and

lPearson,except for minor defects;that arrangements had been made to cure said defects;that
County Judge Lona Slaughter had agreed to close a certain raod crossing the tract,and to
open a suitably placed road instead thereof;that when these matters had been done to the
satisfaction of the Committee,arrangements were made to close the deals through the
j11cIlroy Bank and Trust Company. Alderman Pearson moved that the report be received and
approved,and record of the same made. This motion was duly seconded by Alderman Scott,and
received the uninimdus vote of the members present,and was declared passed by the Mayor,
THANKS: iAlderman Pearson moved a vote of Thanks and appreciation be given the Committee for their
I services in the selection and negotiation for lands for a Flying Field. This motion was
(seconded by Alderman Scott and received the unanimous vote of the Council.
No further business appearing the Council ad,journed,on motion duly passed.
