monthly reports of the Purchasing Agent, Police Judge, City Collect bn, City Clerk, and. the
Fire Chief were presented and on motion duly passed were ordered filed.
A request for a street light at the intersection of Eatt Spring and Fletcher was presented

having been duly investigated,

motion was duly seconded by Alderman Harding and received the following vote;ayes Aldermen

passed and the resolution adopted, by the Mayor. A copy is as follows; -

�.7HEREAS: There is a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Assessment of University
Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas by reason of the
refusal of P.W.Buxton to serve in said capacity,and
111.1.7ERRAS; it is desired that a re -assessment of benefits in said District be made;and
WH?REAS;the Board of Improvement of said District has requested that Dr. N.F.Drake be
appointed to be a member of said Board of Assessors,

That N.F.Drake be,and he is hereby appointed to be a member of the Board of
Assessment of University Improvement District Number One of he City of Fayetteville,Arkansas.

are hereby repealed;and this resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after it
passage and approval.

Alderman Pearson introduced a .resolution to levy the taxes for 1930,on city property, After
some discussion,action on this resolution was deferred to the next meeting of the Council.

The Mayor then announced that the question before the Council is shall the ordinance
pass,and called for the vote on its passagewhich resulted as follows; ayes Aldermen Bynum,
Fuller, Harding, Pearson, -Scotto Stanford, Stephens, 'Pages; nays None,; absent and not
voting none. The Mayor declared the ordinance passed.
The ordinance above referred to is recorded in Ordinance Book II at page 4a thereof.
No further business appearing the Council ad,journed,on motion duly passed.

Alderman Scott moved that the Clerk be and is directed to issue warrants as follows,
one warrant for $75.46,on the Hospital Fund,Alley Improvement tax on lot 8 ,block 15;
onr warrant for 6,126.98 on Street Fund, Alley Improvement Tax on lots 13,14,block 16, and j
lots 8.9.10, block 29.
Ald rman Harding se conded the motion which received the following
vote, Ayes Aldermen Bynum,Fuller, Harding, Scott, Pearson, Stanford, Stephens Wages; nays none
and Inas declared passed by the M ayor.
The further consideration of the resolution levying the City Taxes for 1930 was taken
up at this time,and after full discussion by members of the Council,Alderman Scott moved thel
adoption of the resolution.This motion was seconded by Alderman Harding and received the
following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Scott, Stanford, Stephens, Wages; Pearioi
nays none,and was declared passed by the Mayor,athe resolution adopted. A copy is as follows;-
