' PRESENT: The Mayor T.S.Tribble, Clerk J.C.Massie, Attorney V.James Ptak, Engineer E.M.Ratliff; Aldermen John Bynum, Don Fuller, C. -.Harding, Clem Pearson, Roy Scott, J.F.Stanford, S.S.Step phens, R.E.Wages. THE MINUTrS of the meeting of August 25th, 1930 were read and approved. I �HE FOLL07ING BILLS against the City,properly approved,were allowed and ordered paid and the. Clerk was directed to issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Scott, passed by the unanimous vote -of the Council and so declared by the Mayor; Fayetteville Drug Co., $32.20; Southwestern Gas & Electric Company $515.56;J.W.Shelly y$67.50; (Ben Porter y$18.75; Roy Sutton, �$5.80;Magnolia Petroleum Company $33.49 S.P.Rogers $$3.75; (Thomas & Son $4.85; Harry .Kizer d$10.00;Pearson & Pearson $170.60; (?PORTS: The weekly report of the Street Cleaner, and the monthly reports of the Purchasing Agent, (the Police Judge, City Collector, City Clerk were presented and on motion were ordered filed. RE -ASSESS- The Clerk reported the filing of Re -assessments in East Street Improvement TENTS: District and Annex Number One thereto, Annex Number 2 to East Street Improvement District j and 111ater Improvement District Number Three,and that he had published notices of said filing is PIDE"JALK A request for the establishment of grade for sidewalk on Oakland Avenue from GRADE: Maple to Douglas was presented and on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Bynum I and passed by the unanimous vote of the -Council was gVant4d referred to the City Engineer with power to act. I REPORT ON The City Attorney reported that the Digest of the City Ordinances prepared by pIGEST: i J.C.Massie was satisfactory,whereupon Alderman Scott moved that the remainder of the contract i i price,u150.00 be paid to Mr. Massie. This motion was seconded by Alderman Stanford and receii- led the unanimous vote of the Council and was declared passed by the Mayor. SAL PAY FO�IR Alderman Pearson introduced a resolution providing for the payment of the bal 1 INTERSECTIIONS Distr 42; ance of the cost of the intersections in Paving Improvement District Number 42 of the City ofd ayetteville,Arkansas and moved its adoption.Alderman Scott seconded the motion to adopt which received the following vote, ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Ha rding,,Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens; nayd none; absent and not voting Alderman PJages.,-The payor declared the motion 1passed and the resolution adopted. U T I O N 111�nY/�1 WHEREAS: On the 25th day of August,1930,by resolution duly adopted, the City Council of .the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas attempted to pay ,by an appropriation, .the cost of the in*;p�er�s�e"�ctions of streets in Paving Improvement District Number rorty-J,and . WHEREAS: the amount of said appropriation was insufficient for said purpose by the sum of 410135..50, NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS: SECTION ONE: That the sum of $135.50 be, and.the same is hereby,appro- priated out of the General Fund of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas for the purpose of making up said deficiency. SECTION T1-110: That the Mayor and the City Clerk be,and they are hereby authorized and directed to issue Ten l' Jarrants,payable.to the Board of Improvement of said Paving Improvement District Number Forty -two - said warrants to be drawn on the General Fund aforesaid,as follows, to -wit; - One warrant for 4`13.55, due and payable April 1501931 , One warrant for �13.55,due and payable April 15,19321 One warrant for.E3.55,due and payable April 15,1933, One warrant for �13.55,due and payable April 1501934, One warrant for �13.55,due and payable April 1501935, One warrant for 13.55,due and payable April 15,1936, One warrant for '13.55,due and payable Apr1l 15,1937, One warrant for 13 55 due and payable April 15., 1938, One warrant for 13.55,due and payable April 15,1939 and One warrant for qp13.55,due and payable April 15,1940. Attest; J.C.Massie, City Clerk THIRD I Attention was called to the need of improving Third Street for the accommodation STREET: of school children attending the Jefferson School at its new location,whereupon Alderman Scott moved that the City Engineer be directed to furnish an estimate of the cost of placing a permanent concrete culvert over the Spring Branch at its crossing of said street.
