Iand said City of'Fayetteville agrees to pay said Young -Bryan Construction Company the said
'sum of Thirteen Hundred and Fifty ($1,350.00) Dollars in the following manner,to-wit;
Iry Ten (10) equal annual installments,said sum to be paid out of the General Reve

Dollars each,drawn in favot of Young -Bryan Construction Company,or bearer-- said warrants to,
be drawn

that one of said
warrants
shall

due and
payable each

after
date.
If said City
of Fayetteville,
Arkansas
should
make
default
in the payment
of
any onel
of said above mentioned warrants when the same becomes due and payable,the said City of Fay -

etteville agrees and stipulltes with the owner of said warrant representing the amount of the

sum in which the City has defaulted to pay said owner of said warrant, the sum of eight (8)j
per cent interest per annum on said amount of said warrant from the date of such default
until the

penalty,and as
damages
upon;
the part
of said City
of
Fayetteville,Arkahsas,for
its
failure to
pefform that
part of
its
contract with the said Young -Bryan Construc#ion Vompany,or the owner of said warrant.
This contract shall be binding upon the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, from and after
the passage,approval and publicat on of this ordinance,and the said City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas,hereby pledges itself,and all of its officers,to the fatlhhful performance of this
contract as herein set forth,and this ordinance shall take effect and be in force fromsk and i
after its passage,approval and publication.
The City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,shall be,and he is hereby ordered
and directed to issue said above mentioned Ten (10) warrants immediately upon the passage
and approval of this ordinance.

man Wages, passed by the unanimous vote of the members present and so declared by the Mayor;

!LICENSE. I The need of blank forms for the issuance of City Licenses was called to the attention

gf the Council,whereupon Alderman Scott moved that the Clerk and the Collector prepare a
general form,and have same printed in sufficient number for the needs of the City.

T#is motion was seconded by Alderman Pearson,and received the unanimous.vote of the members
present,and was declared passed by the Mayor.
The resignation of S.H.Guinn form the office of Chief.of..Poliee was presented.
Alderman Pearson moved that the resignation be.accepted,with regrets. This motion was duly
seconded by Alderman Wages and received the unanimous vote of the members present and was
declared passed by the Mayor.
Alderman Pearson moved that the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to issue a
warrant,drawn on the Street Fund, in the sum of $75.00,payable to J.E.Carnahan in settlement
of the pledge made by the Council, as. recorded at .page 508. of. .this book, -as the City's part

in the opening up of^ as" Street. This motion was seconded by Alderman Scott and received
the unanimous vote of the members present,and was declared passed by the Mayoft.

Alderman Wages introduced ar.P:: a resolution to fill the vacancy in the Board of
Assessment of Sewer Improvement District Number 1 and moved its adoption. This motion was
seconded by Alderman Bynum and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller,Pea
Scott, Stanford, Stephens, Wages; nays none; absent and not voting Ald.-rman Harding,and was
declared passed by the Mayor, and he resolution adopted. A copy is as follows; -
RESOLUTION.
There is a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Assessment of Sewer Improvement
District Number One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,by reason of the death of F.P.Hall,
NOW THREEFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
SECTION ONE:
That W.H.Summers,a qualified elector of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas he,and
is hereby,appointed to be a member of said Board of Assessment of Sewer Improvement District
Number One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas in place of F.P.Hall,deceased.
