FIRST REGULAR MEETING OF THE 1930 CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS, HELD APRIL 7th, 1930.

"SWORN IN" The Mayor administered the oath of office to,-

C.T.Harding,as Alderman Ward 3,
John Bynum,as Alderman Ward 4.
ROLL -CALL: The Roll -call showed the following as present;- The Mayor,T.S.Tribble, C1erk,J.C.Massie,
Attorney,James V.Ptak, Treasurer, Roy Nix,.Aldermen John Bynum, Don Fuller, C.T.Harding,
Clem Pearson, Roy Scott, J.F.Stanford, S.S.Stephens, R.E.Wages,
ANNEX TO The Clerk reported that the reassessment roll of Annex Number One to South College

IMPR. DIS.Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas had been filed

REASSESSMENT:' in his office; whereupon Alderman Scott introduced the following resolution and moved
its adoption. Alderman Harding seconded the motion to adopt which received the following vote
ayes; Aldermen Bvnum, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens Wages; naps none,
absent and not voting none. The Maypr declared the motion passed and the resolution adopted.

WHEREAS, ;
A.C.Ucker,E.Wilson and U.L.Smelser as the Board of Assessment of Annex Number One to South
Colllege Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayette Lille, Arkansas, did
on the 7th day of April,1930,file with the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,
the 'reassessment roll of said District,duly subscribed by each of them,
THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS
(SECTION ONE:
That the City Clerk of said City be,and he is hereby directed to cause to be p>>blished in
a newspaper having a bona fide circulation in said City,a notice that said Reassessment
Rolllhas been so filed, and that the same is open for inspection and subject to appeal for
a period of ten days from the publication of said notice.

Te1,Co,, Thi Southwestern Bell Telephone Company presented a request for permission to instal an
CONDUIT:
underground Conduit along West Center Street from the Alley West of Block Street to Duncan
Street. Alderman Harding moved that such permission be granted,subject to supervision by the
City E,hgineer,and upon filing the bond required by ordinance in such case provided. This
motikon was seconded by Alderman Stanford, and re ceived the following vote; ayes Aldermen
Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens, Viages;nays none,and was declared
passed by the Mayor,
SE!^IER, The request of W.S.Duggans for permit to make sewer connection for the Carrington Oil Co.,
Farrington
Oil Co.; back of Mountain Inn was granted on motion duly passed,and subject to supervision by the City
Engineer and the ordinances thereto pertaining.
FLECTION. The bill for the expenses of the City Election held on April lst,1930, amounting to the
EXPVNSF''
sum of $152.00 was presented,and on motion.by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Stan-
; ford,and passed by the unanimous vote of the Council was allowed and the Clerk was directed
to issue a warrant for the same.

STREET LINE l The City Engineer was directed to establish the street line at -4622, Oakland Avenue,

land; ,on motion by Alderman Harding,and duly passed.

SEWER CONI Dr. Harr and two other property owners requested permission to cut the pavement for

`'TILLOW ST .: the purpose of making sewer connections on Willow Street. This request eras granted.,
subject to lnlffpec supervision by the City Engineer and the ordinances thereto pertaining, on
motion by Alderman Harding.duly passed by the unanimous vote of the Council.
PARKING I The Mayor and the City Engineer were directed ti investigate the matter of farmers
