PRESENT: The Mayor, T.S.Tribble ,Clerk J.C.Massie, Attorney Don` Trumbo, Engineer,F.M.Ratliff; Aldermen John Bynum, N.F.Drake, lion Fuller, C.T.Harding, Clem Pearson, Roy Scott, J.F.St S.S.Stephens. THE i I THF. BONDS: G.F.Ha C.W.Ed HOSPITAL WARRANT: of the meeting of March 3rd,1930 were read and approved. 'ING BILLS against the City,properly approved,were allowed and ordered paid,and the Clerk wa directed to issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Pearson, passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayor; Magnolia Petroleum Co., $44.84; Ben Porter $18.75;Elmer Wier x;6.00; D&H Stores $1.75;Farl Williams $2.50, Dave Lewis $18.75;C.F.Pierce $149.25; Abshier-Bryan Motor Co., $'50aO0;J*V19 $42.50; Southwestern Bell Tel. Co., $27.75;Fayetteville Democrat Pub. Co., „4.24;Red Cross Drug Co., $16.60;Southwestern Gas & Electric Co., $515.56. 2 ly The bonds of G.F.Harden and C.W.Edwards as Gas ,,Hitters were presented and on Motion by s; Alderman Harding,seconded by Alderman B2 1 410P.dul# passed, were accepted and ordered filed. Alderman Drake moved that the Clerk be and he is authorized and directed to issue a warrant) drawn on the Hoepttal Fund in the sum of $2,000.00 payable to the Hospital Board,and made due and payable July 1st, 1930. Alderman Pearson seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, and Stephens;nays none, and was declared passed by the Mayor. SHELLY'Slreport,as street Cleener,showing 170 blocks cleaned during the week was presented and on motion duly passed,was ordered filed. Drainage, The City Engineer reported that the drainage requested at Block 8, Gunter Addition will blk 8 Hunter; at least $250.00.On motion the report was ordered received;but no further action was had. MARKING The mayor was requested to ascertain the cost,and to receivegl bids for marking the names STREETS: of the city streets on the curbs,on motion duly passed. RrSIGN. James Dinwiddie presented his resignation as Electrical Inspector,and asipned as his reason OF JAMES DINI'IIDDIF: that he Had been threatened with being trapped in case he retained his position. On motion duly passed the resignation of Mr Dinwiddie was accepted,effective when his successor shall have been appointed. This condition was accepted by Mr Dinwiddie. Portia The Mayor suggested the propriety of appointing a member of the Fire Department as Electric suggested; JInspector,and named Mr Frank Portis as a possible choice. SWEEPFR:� The Street Cleaning Committee requested more time for reporting in regard to a sweeper for cleaning the streets,which was granted. The Mayor stated that an agent representing such ,machines would be present at the next meeting of the Council.
