MOOREI I Mr C.O. Moore was present,. and requested the Council to grant permission th his company to
GAS,
substitute 8 -inch pipe for l0 -inch in a portion of the supply line from the gas field to
the City. After some discussion,Alderman Pearson moved that action in the matter be deferred
till the next meeting of the Council. Alderman Scott seconded the motion which received the;
unanimous vote of the Council.

THE MINUTES of the meeting of November 11th, 1929 were read and approved.
THE FOLL04ING BILLS against the City,bearing the proper vouchers and the approval of the Auditing Com-
�mittee,were allowed and ordered.paid on motion by Alderman Harding,seconded by Alderman Bynum,
(passed by the unanimous vote of the Counall.and so declared by the Mayor;-

REPORTS: The weekly report of the street Cleaner showing 127 blocks cleaned during the week was pre-
sented and on motion was -received and filed.

The final report of the Board of Improvement of East Center Street was presented and read)
to the Council,whereupon Alderman Harding moved that the report be received,approved and filed
and the Board of Improvement of said East Center Street Improvement District Number One of
the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,be and the same are hereby fully discharged. This motion
was seconded by Alderman Pearson and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake!
Harding, Pearson, Stanford, Stephens; nays none; absent and not voting Aldermen Fuller and
Scott. The Mayor declared the motion passed,the report approved and the Commissioners fully
discharged.

interview the property owners adjacent to that part of the street affected to learn what

their wishes are in the matter,and to what extent they were willing to assist in the project.
This motion was duly seconded and passed.
STR. After discussion of the situation.at the intersection of South.Collggg and Rock streets,
Alderman Harding moved that the Mayor be authorized to expend.as much as $50.00 in such cone
struction as was judged to be advisable for the better controlling of flood waters at that
point and along East Rock.street. Alderman Drake seconded this motion which, received the
following vote;ayes Alderman Bynum, Drake, Harding, Pearson, Stanford, Stephens; nays none;
absent and not voting Ald ermen Fuller.and Scott, and was declared passed by the Mayor.

County Clerk of said County as to the assessed valuation of said real.property were not on
file,Alderman Harding moved that said hearing be continued to the.next regular meeting of the
Council to be held on the 25th day of November91929. Alderman Drake seconded the motion which
received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Harding,.Pearson, Stanford, Stepheni;
nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Fuller, and Scott..The Mayor declared the motion

The request of C.O.Moore coming up for further discussion,resulted in a motion

by.Alderman Bynum to defer action for further investigation,and for a report from the City
engineerconcerning the matter. This motion was duly seconded by Alderman Harding and passed
without opposition, and so declared by the Mayor.

PUMPS: Permission was granted to Jack Hight to install a curb gasoline pump at Lots
18 and 19, Blovk 28 on East Mountain Street,and_also.to 0. Rouse at the Gattis Tire Shop on
East Meadow Street, subject to the supervision of.the City Engineer and the provisions of the
ordinances of the City of Paye'teville,.thereto pertaining.
On motion by Alderman Harxing seconded by. -Alderman Drake and duly passed, the
