ARKANSAS, HELD OCTOBER 2Bth, 1929.
PRESENT: The Mayor T.S.Tribble, Clterk J.C. Massie, Attorney lion Trumbo,Engineer E.P/. Ratliff;
Aldermen John -Bynum, N.F.Drake, Don Fuller, C.A.Pearson, R.A.Scott, Dr.J.F. Stanford; and

THE IGINUTES of the meeting of October 21st,1929 were read and approved.

Alderman Pearson introduced -an ordinance declaring and setting forth the finding of the j

as to the majority of signers of the petition for the formation of an Improvement
Council
District for the purpose of grading,rolling and paving Watson Street,designating said District
Ind appointing a Board of Improvement therefor.which was read the First time. Alderman Pearson]
then moved that said ordimaanee be placed on its second reading. This motion was seconded by
Alderman Scott and received the following vote;ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Pearson,
Scott, Stanford, Stephens; nays none; absent and not voting Ald rman Harding,and was declared

and not voting Alderman Harding. The Mayor declared the motion passed. The ordinance was read

The weekly report of the Street Cleaner was ordered received and filed.
On motion by Alderman Drake,seconded by Alderman Pearson and passed by the unanimous vote o
the members of the Council present,the mayor was authorized to sign a petition for thd-:^rform
of an Improvement District for the purpose of extending a water main to the Airport,and the
to the property of the South Mountain Development Company,
The City Engineer reported having contracted for the construction and repair of the culvert
on South Street for the sum of tiY200

DOGS: A delegation of interested citizens was present for the purpose of securing relief from the
pest of dogs infesting the City. After some discussion,the City Attorney was directed to dra t
an ordinance covering the matter for submission to the Counctl at its next ee i
