THE MINUTSF of the meeting of October 14th, 1939 were read and approved. REPORTS: I The annulll report of the Commissioners of North Leverett Ave. Improvement District Number One -and the weekly report of the Street Cleaner were presented and on motion were ordered received and filed. Alderman Drake seconded the motion which re- ceived the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, F:111er.,Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Step nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Harding. The Mayor declared the motion passed. AVIATION: The contract with the Siloam Flying School for use of the Airport was presented to the (Council ,and after some discussion,?aas referred back to the committee for revision. IPETITION; A petition,purporting to contain the signatures of a majority in asseoised valuation of PAVING GOVT AVE.:the owners of real property within the district therein described and set forth,praying fo the formation of an Improvement District for the purpose of grading,rolling and paving Gov- K ernment Avenue from the North line of Prairie Avenue to the South line of Wall street was esented,whereupon Alderman Scott moved that said petition be received,filed and pa.lced of record. This motion was seconded by Alderman Fuller and received the following vote;ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Pearson, Scott, Stanford,Stephens; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Harding.
