The Mayor,T.S.Tribble, Clerk J.C.Massie, Attorney Don Trumbo, Engineer,E.M. Ratliff; Aldermen John Bynum, N'.F.Drake, Don Fuller, C.T.Harding,_C,.A.Pearson, R.A, Scott, Dr J.F. Stanford, S.S.Stephens, THE MINUTES of the meeting of October, 7th,1929 were read and approved. VIATION: The committee charged with the duty of investigating the matter.of a Flying School at the City Airport reported progress and was continued,with authority to close a contract. SIDWIALK:1 A petition was presented asking that grade be established for sidewalk on the West side) STORER STR.: of Storer Street between Mitchell and Douglas,whereupon Alderman Harding moved that the Clerk be directed to issue the necessary and legal notices to the owners of real property abutting III i on said street on the west side thereof to lay concrete sidewalks along th&ir respective holdings, This motion was seconded by'Ald rman Pearson and received the f6llowing vote,ayse; Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens; nays none, and was declared passed by the Mayor. � I {rrAS INSPEC- The matter of the appointment of. a Gas Inspector for the City of Fayetteville coming up TOR &Cm for discussion, Alderman Harding moved that a Committee composed of the0dv* Ordinance Commitipt The City Attorney, Building Ihspector meet with the representatives of the Gas Company for the purpose of drafting an Ordinance creating the office of Gas Inspector,setting forth his duties and formualting Rules and Regulations pertaining to the installation of fixtures and the use thereof and the use of gas for various purposes. This motion was secohded-by Alderman Bynum and i received the unanimous vote of the Council and was declared passed by the mayor. I CD CARMI-I Alderman Harding introduced a resolution appointing C.D.Carmichael as a member of the Board CHAEL, COM'R og Improvement of hest Mountain Street Improvement District Ntamber One of the City of Fayette W.MT I.D. Ville, and moved its adoption. This motion was seconded by Alderman Scot and received the I following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephes'n; nays none ;absent and not voting none. The Mayor declared the motion pass ed and the resolution adopted, A copy is as follows; � Zi.. ��21 RESOLUTION,. UP BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO!jNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS: That C.D. Carmichael,a qualified elector of the City of Fayettevilke,and an owner of real property within the limits of 47est Mountain Street Improvement Districb Number One I f said City be,and he is hereby appointed to he a member of the Board of Improvement of said District in place of n,,r.P.PI[cNair,deceased,as Secretary of said Board; and That all resolutions or orders in conflict herewith be, and the same are he ebyrepealed, i and that this resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage and approval, C.T.
