THE MINUTES of the meeting of September 9th,1929 were read and•approved.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS against the City bearing the proper vouchers and the approval of the Auditing
Committee were allowed and ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for the

same on motion by Alderman Fuller,seconded by Aldeman Harding,passed by the unanimous vote of
the council and so declared by the Mayor.;- American LaFrance and.Foamite Industries Corp,
$19.14; Auto Electric Co., $1.25;Southwestern Bell Telephone Co., $30.20;Dave Lewis :2.25;
Ben Porter ?18.75;Elmer Wier $5.00;J.VJ. Shelly .142.50.
APPEAL: I The appeal of J.H. IvicIlroy in the metter of the East Street Improvement District coming on
JHMcIlroy;
jfor consideration,was taken up and a proposition submitted by Mr McIlroy was discussed, but
because of failure to reach an agreement on said proposition and the absence of Mr McIlroy,
Alderman Pearson moved to continue the hearing to the next regular meeting of the Council,
to be held September 23rd, 1929. This motion was duly seconded by Alderman Drake and passed
by the unanimous vote of the Council,and so declared by the Mayor.
Shelly's] report showing 175 blocks cleaned during the week ending September 14th was presented and
ion motion duly passed,was ordered received and filed.
REPORTS:, The annual report of the Commissioners of North College Avenue Improvement
N. COLLEGE
AND ANNEXDistrict Number One and the Annex Number One thereto were filed with the Council
RECEIPTS: A receipt for $10.00,paid by the Lion's Club to the Street Department for work done at the
Harmon Playground, and one for `925.00,refund to the Fire Fund by Clyde Walters from the $50.
allowed for expenses of delegates to the Firemen's Convention,were filed by the Mayor.
FIRE- I Attention was called to the need of certain repairs at the Fire House by the
HOUSE RE= Harding
PAIRS: lFire Chief, Mr Clyde Walters,whereupon Alderman Fullev moved that the matter be referred to
the Fire Committee and the City Engineer with.power to act. This motion was duly seconded by
Alderman Scott and passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayor.1 �
BRIDGE ON Alderman Harding moved that the City attorney be instructed to cmnfer with Mr R.J. 17ily
WILSON ZVE. ;
and attempt to
secure from
him a
deed conveying
to
the
City a
strip of land extending Wilson]
(Avenue to the
North Limits
of the
City,said deed
to
be
placed

in escrow,conditioned upon the,
completion of a bridge across "Skull Branch" in the line of said street. this motion was
seconded by Alderman Pearson passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by
the Mayor.
'70OD-TOP' On motion the City Engineer was authorized to change the specifications for
ON BRIDGE:
the bridge above mentioned to the extent of allowing a wood floor instead of concrete.
ALLEY 'Dr N.F. Drake, as a member of the Board of Improvement of Alley Improvetent District Number,
PAVING:
One of the City of Fayetteville, 'Irkansas, brought up the matter of the exchange of deeds and
condemnation of right of way; -whereupon the City Attorney was directed to prepare the necessa-
ry papers.
