School) Improvement District for the purpose of paving a portion of South School Avenue,in order to determine whether or not said petition was signed by the majority in assessed valuation o; their real property within the territory embraced in the proposed District,said hearing was ccordingly had. After a thonough investigation, and.after all parties desiring to be heard ad been so heard,an ordinance was introduced by Alderman Harding setting forth the finding f the Council and naming the District and appointing the BoEmd Improvement for said Dis- rict,which was read the first time. Alderman Scott moved that the Rules be suspended and the e placed on its second reading. This motion was seconded by ;alderman Fuller and re- ceived the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens; nays none; absent and not voting none. The Mayor declared the I passed. The Ordinance was read the second time. LLEY IN A discussion of the broken sewer line in the alley in Block 5, and the exposed water LOCK5; ATES,JS&JR line,brought up the question of responsibility for the condition existing,when Alderma Pearson moved that the City Clerk be directed to notify J.S. Bates and J.R. Bates to appear before the Council on July 22nd,1929,at 8;*O-V O'clock thereof and show cause why they should be proceeded against for digging,excavating and remtsving dirt from the alley in Block 5.
