Gregory for permission to remove a residence building from lot 4 HOUSE MOVE: Block 29 to a place on ,East Maple Street between College avenue and Washington Avenue was PUTERBA CURB GAS'>PUM SEWER MILL A AND HUNTS - V IL•LE PRESENT: PURPOSE: presented,and,on motion by Aldernan Drake,.seconded by Alderman Scott and passed by the unanimous vote of the Council,.subject to the supervision of the City Engineer and the thereto pertaining the request was granted. Mr George Puterbaugh requested permission to install a curb pump at his property on Government 0"00 Avenue. Alderman. Scott moved that the request be granted subject to super- vision of the City Engineer and the ordinances in such case.provided. Alderman Fuller seconded the motion which received the unanimous vote of the Council. The matter of remedying defective Sewer connection at 221 East Lafayette was referred UN: to the City Fhgineer,with power to act. Mr Stanfill requested the city to widen the intersection of Mill Avenue and Huntsvill Road,whereupon Alderman Harding moved that the matter be referred to the 'City Engineer for AD: investigation and report. This motion was duly seconded and passed. On ttotion the Council then adjpurned to Friday, July 5th, 1929, Attest; 4 rftt City Clerk Approved; Mayor. ADJOURNED ME TING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS. HELD JULY 5th 1929. RD** Pursuant to adjournmemt, the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in the Council Chamber ,July 5th, 1929 at -800 o'dlock thereof,when there were The Mayor, T.S,.Tribble, Clerk. Massie, Attorney Trumbo, R* and Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens. The Purpose of the meeting was stated by the Mayor to be.the consideration of the !application of the Texaco Company for permision to install storage tanks for gasoline and bbher petroleum products on Lot 7, SET 9/16/30,and called on those present who wished to be heard in connection with the granting of said permit to state their reasons for or against ]the project. On behalf of the Texaco comp any, Mr.R.G. Johnson addressed the Council and W.L. Henry and H.P. Alleger.representing the petioners opposing the granting of the permit gave their reasons for opposition. After all parties desiring to be heard had spoken,and the matter had been fully discussed by members of the Council, Alderman Harding moved that the application for permit be denied. Alderman Stephens seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Fuller, Harding, Pearson,.Stanford, Stephens; nays Aldermen Drake, and Scott;present and not voting Alderman Bynum..
