of the meeting of May 27th,, 1929 were read and approved.
'ING BILLS against the City bearing the proper vouchers and the approval of the Auduting Committe
were allowed and ordered paid and the clerk was directed to issue warrants for the same on
motion by Alderman .Fuller, seconded by Alderman Harding, passed by the unanimous vote of the
Council and so declared by the Mayor;

with Trenton Boulevard and assistance in the paving project if needed,the total cost to the
city to be limited to $165.00. Alderman Pearson seconded the motion which received the
following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens;
nays none,.and was declared passed by the.Mayor.
On motion by Alderman Pearson, .seconded.by Alderman Scott and duly passed, Dr. Drake
• was authorized to finish up the sidewalk at the corner of his new building,under the
;supervision of the City Engineer.
The matter of purchasing a truck for the use of the Street Department was discussed a
some lengthupon its being reported to the council that the Beard of Public Affairs had
approved said purchase.
The Idayor then directed the City Attorney to prepare the necess
ordinance authorizing the purchase.
Extension Roy Williams,Af East Mountain, Rev Yancey of the Methodist Assembly and others were
of present to ugge the extensiom of East Maple Street to the City limits, to connect with the
�E. Maple; county road leading up to the Mounhain top .
After a thorough discussion of the project,Alder
man Drake moved that the sum of $60.00 be appropriated to assist in the grading of the road
as it now is from the intersection of East Maple and Mission .Avenue to the East city limits,
and the.construction of the culvert necessary to control the drainage.,Alderman,Harding
seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum,*Drake, Fuller,
Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford, Stephens; nays none. The Mayor declared the motion passes

Drake seconded the motion which received the unanimous vote of the Council and was declared
passed by the Mayor. an oral
At the close of the executive session A3dorwn-,c- Atorney Hurst mad2ep report
as to the work done on the digesting of the city ordinances;whereupon Alderman Pearson moves

(Ij monthly to Mr Hurst.
No further/ -business appearing Alderman Fuller moved adjournment,which
motion was duly secohded and passed. %

Alderman Drake reported that substantial aid had been promised for the construction -of

150 feet of pavement on Trenton Boulevard at the intersection with North College Qvenu
and after some discussion of the situation,Alderman Drake moved that the city agrees to
guarantee the construction of an extension of the bridge at the intersection of Park Avenue
