motion duly passed Alderman Drake was chosen as President pro tempore for the meeting.

lderman Jones introduced an Ordinance providing for the annexation of certain territory to
city of Fayetteville,Arkansas, which was read the first time.
lderman Harding moved that the Rules be suspended and the ordinance placed on its second
ading. This motion was seconded by Alderman Scott and received the following vote; ayes
dermen Bynum, Drake, Harding, Jones, Pearson, Scott, Stanford; nays none; absent and not
ting Alderman Fuller, The President pro tempore declared the motion passed. The ordinance
s read the second time.
No further business appearing, the council adjourned.

REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,
ARKANSAS, HELD FEBRUARY 25th, 1929.
iPRESENT: The•Clerk, J.C. Massie, Attorney Don Trumbo, Fngineer E.M. Ratliff;
(Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Harding, Jones, Pearson, Scott, Stanford; absent the Mayor Allan M.
Wilson and Alderman Fuller, Alderman Harding was chosen President pro tempore of the
Council for the meeting.
THE MINUTES of the meeting of February 18th, 1929 were read and approved.
THE FOLLOWING BILLS against the City were allowed• -and ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to

Tissue warrants for the same on,motion by Alderman Uonog, seconded by Alderman Bynum passed
by the unanimous vote of the members present and so declared by the President pro tempore;
Donald Trumbo $18.00; Bert Wa#Ton, $12.00;John Zillah $26.25; Dave Condra x;36,00; Hobert K.
Phillips $9.27.
(ANNEXA- At this time the consideration of the proposed ordinance providing, for the

j annexation of certain territory to the corporate limits of the City`of Fayetteville,Arkansas
which said ordinance was on its second reading, was resumed.
After a thorough discussion of the matter by members of the Council and by a number of persons
interested,Alderman Drake moved that the Ordinance be placed on its third reading and final
passage. Alderman Jones seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Alder-
men Bynum, Drake, Jones, Baerson, Scott, Stanford; nays Alderman Harding; absent and not votin
Alderman Fuller. The President pros tempore declared the motion passed. The Ordinance was
read the third time. The President pro tempore then announced the question before the Council
is shall the ordinance pass and called for the vote on its passage, which resulted as follows;
ayes Aldermen Drake, Jones, Pearson, nags Aldermen Bynum, Harding, Scott, Stanford, absent and
not voting Alderman Fuller. The President pro tempore d.ellared that the ordinance did not

Committee for investigation and report.
