REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE,ARAKNSAS,

The City Clerk, J.C. Massie, Attorney Don Trumbo, Engineer, E.M. Ratliff;
Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Handing, Pearson, Scott, Stanford; absent the Mayor,Allan M. Wilson,
Aldermen Fuller and Jones.
On Motion duly passed Alderman Drake was chosen President pro
tempore of the Council for the meeting,
of the meeting of February 4th, 1929 were read and approved;
BILLS against the City bearing the proper vouchers and the approval.of the Auditing
Committee were allowed and ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for thel
same on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Pearson, passed by the unanimous volte
of the members present and so declared by the President pro tempore;-Esseo Mfg. Co. $9.22;

The time having arrived for the hearing of the appeals from the action of the Board
Assessment of Douglas Street Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, the Clerk presented the appeal of Mrs Edith B. Phillips,requesting a reduction of
the
assesgment
against Lot 4 Block 1 Oakland
Place. After
due investigation
of the matter
by
the Council,
AldermanStanford moved that
said appeal be
denied. Alderman
Harding seconde

Phillips;the motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Harding, Pearson,
!Scott, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting Aldertpen Fuller and Jones. The President
pro tempore declared the remotion passed.
The appeal of Mrs Selma Burton coming on to be decided, And the Council, after due
linvestigation being convinced that said assessment is excessive, Alderman Harding moved that!
(against Lot 11, Block 1 Leverett's 3rd Addition)
Mrs Selma said assessment./be reduced to the sum of $1,250.00. Alderman Pearson seconded the motion
Burton;
which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drakes Harding, Pearson, Scott, and
Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting Aldermen Fuller and Jones. The President pro
tempore declared
the
motion passed and
the reduction
so ordered.
I The appeal
of
E.V. Bird was next
presented, and
the Council after due
investigation,
E.V.Bird; being convinced that said assessment is excessive, Alderman Pearson moved that the assess-
ment against Lot 10, Block 4, Oakland Place be reduced to the sum of $850.00. Alderman
Bynum seconded the motion which re ceived the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, j
Harding, Pearson, Scott, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting Aldermen Fuller and
Jones. The President pro tempore declared the motion passed and the reduction so ordered.
No further business appearing the Council adjourned.
