Ratliff; Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearson, Scott, Stanford; absent Alderman Drake. THE MINUTES of the meetings of September 3rd and 5th, 1928 were read and approved. McCullough The Accept ance by John McCullough of the Franchise to furnish Gas to Fayetteville was Accepts, read to the Council, whereupon Alderman Harding moved the same be received, filed and spread lof record. This is to certify that I, John McCullough, of Tulsa Oklahoma,do hereby accept, City Ordinance #692, our (or) such number of said ordinance that covers the granting og franchise to John McCullough of Tulsa, OkIlhoma for the purpose of supplying gas to the ity of Fayettevillle, and to the inhabitants thereof for industrial and domestic purposes or a term of 50 years as granted in said franchise, and further accept all the terms and I onditions granted in said ordinance,granting said franchise to the said John McCullough of Tulsa Oklahoma,and agree to abide and be governed by all the terms and conditions of said Irant. The annual report of Improvement D istrict Number Thirty-five was presented to the Council on motion duly passed was ordered received and filed. At the request of the Board of Improvement of North College Avenue Improvement District No COL. Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,and of Annex Number One theretq, i lderman Pearson introduced a resolution appointing W.L. Crouch to be a member of the Board. f Assessment of said Distrietp and moved its adoption. Alderman Bynum seconded the motion hich received the following vote; ayes Aldermen.Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearson, cott, Stanford:'nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Drake,and was declared passed, and he resolution adopted r/ ,by the Mayor. Lewis for permisPion to install three Curb Gasoline Pumps at Lo 5 and 6, Block 29, on the South side of Mountain Street, comin)3 on to be heard, Alderman Bynum moved that said permit issue, and that the Clerk be and he is hereby directed to iss' said permit in accordance with Ordinance Number 693. �ld•-rman Stanford seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldnrmen Bynum, Fuller, Habding, Jones, Pearson, Scott. Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Drake, and was declared passed rthe Mayor. At the request of a number of citizens, the Chairman of the Light Committee was direct ,,to have a light installed on the "lest side of the RR crossing at the intersection of Duncan and Wall Streets. This action was had on motion by Ald rman Harding, seconded by Alderman Scott, passed by the unanimous vote of the members present and so declared by the Mayor. Alderman Jones introduced an ordinance haying off a certain portion of the City of Fay- etteville,- into an Improvement District, which was read the first time. AldermanHarding moved that the Rules be suspended and the ordinance placed on its second reading. This motion was seconded by Alderman Jones and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearsom, Scott, Stanford; nays none; Absent and not voting Alderman Drake, The Mayor declared the motion passed. The Ordinance was read the second time. Alderman Scott them moved the Rules be further suspenddd and the ordinance palced on its third reading and final passage, This motion was seconded by Alderman Pearson and received the folAowing vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearson, Scott Stanford; nays None; absent and not voting Alderman Drake. The Mayor declared the motion passed. The ordinance was read the third time. The Mayor then announcdd the question before the Council is shall the Ordinance pass, and called for the vote on tts passage, which resulted as follows; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearson, Scott, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Drake. The Mayor declared the ordinance passed.
