The First Petition for the formation of a certain Improvement District, for the purpose of
,paving certain specified alleys was presented, whereupon Alderman Pearson moved that said
(petition be received, filed and spread of record. Alderman Fuller seconded the motion which
received the dollowing vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearson,

Scott, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting none. The Mayor declared the motion passed

. 693, Alderman Stanford introduced an ordinance regulating the installation of Curb Pumps,

Pum Pg; was read the first time. Alderman Fuller moved the Rules be suspended and the Ordinance
on its second reading. This motion was seconded by Alderman Drake, and received the followin
vote; ayes, Aldermen Bynum, DV9*kd Drake, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearson, Scott, Stanford;
nays none; absent and not voting none, and was declared passed by the Mayor. The Ordinance
was read lh e second time. Alderman Pearson them moved that the Rules be further.suspended.
and the ordinance placed on its third reading dmd final passage. This motion was seconded by
Alderman Fuller and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum ,Drake, Fuller, Harding
Jones, Pearson, Scott, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting none. The Mayor declared
the motion passed. The Ordinance was read the third time. The Mayor then announced the ques-
tion before the Council is shall the ordinance pass, and called for the vote on its passage
which resulted as follows; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearson,
Scott, S anford; nays none, absent and not voting none. The Mayor declared the Ordinance ,
passed. A copy is as follows;
ORDINANCE NUMBER 693.
AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTITLED ° AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING A PERMIT FOR CURB GASOLINE PUMPS,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE.
That it shall be unlawful to construct or install Curb Gasoline pumps in the City of Fay-
etteville, Arkansas without first obtaining a permit in writing to be issued by the City
Clerk after the City Council has approved of such Curb Pump and consented to its installation;
it being solely within the discretion of the City Council whether such permit shall issue or o
hot.
S4 CTION
AEat all Curb Pumps installed under this ordinance shall be subject to removal at the then
owner's expense when so ordered by the City Council, said order to become effective six months
)after it is so made and certified to said owner or agent by the City Clerk.
SCTION 3 That-�11 ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be, and the same are hereby
repealed``andwthis ordinance shall be in force and effect from and after its passage,approval

gates to the annual Firemen's Convention.
