BILLS against the City, bearing the proper vouchers, and the approval of the Auditing itte'e were allowed and ordered paid on motion by Alderman Scott, seconded by Alderman er, passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so decla red by the Mayor; J.L. her $55.22;J.F. Moore $3.75;Bob Hannah $38.50, Sam Guinn $38.50;Southwest Power Company .65;Salsbury & Sandford #6.00; W.L. Crouch $2.90;Magnolia Petroleum Co. $59.18;Vosberg t & Wall Paper Co. $2.50;Dave Condra $36.00;Goss-Rogers Electric Co. $0.80. The reports of the City Collector and ,the Purchasing Agent for the month -of June, 1928 were presented and on motion were ordered received and filed. of the Southwest Power Company for permission to make certain water connection was read to thelCouncil and on motion was referred to the City Engineer and the Mayor with power to act. The resignation of W.E. Graham as'a member of the Board of Assessment of Curb and District Number Thirty-eight of the City of -Fayette ille, Arkansas was presented, whereu AldermanHarding moved that said resignation be accepted. Alderman Drake seconded the motion Pwhich received the following vote; ayes Aldermen -Bynum.. Drake, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pear Scott, Stanford; nays none. The Mayor.declared the motion passed and the resignation accept Also, the resignation of W.E. Graham as a member of the Board of Assessment of Paving Dist: ict Number Thirty-nine of he City of Fayetteville, Arkansas was presented and Alderman ing moved that the same be accepted. Summers to be a'member of the,Board of Assessment of Curb and -Gutter District Number Thirty-eight, and moved its adop tion. Graham has declined to serve as a member of the Board of Assessment of Curb Number Thirty-eight of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and has resigned there Said resignation has been duly accepted by the City Council of thesaid City, thus a vacancy in the membership of said Board; BE IT R73OLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS: ONE: That W.H.Summers, a qualified elector of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas be, is hereby appointed to be a member of the Board of Assessment of Curb and Gutter Number Thirty-eight of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. TWO: That this resolution shall take -effect and be in force from and after its pas ,and that all resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be, and are hereby.repealed. and approved this 9th day of July, 1928. APPEAL OF The Appeal of Alice J..Rhea from the action of the Board of Assessment of West Spring ALICE J.1 RHEA: t 4 ,Street Improvement District Number One -of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, coming on to I be heard, and the matter having been fully investigated by the Council, Alderman Scott moved. that said appeal be denied. Alderman Bynum seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearson, Scott, Stanford; nays none. The Mayor declared the motion passed and the appeal denied. i TO CORRECT Alderman Pearson moved that the City Clerk be di rected to call the attention of the Board =THE DESCRIPTION of Assessment to erroneous description of certai property in the assessment list of West OF PROPERTY IN WEST 'SPR. Spring Street Improvement District, to the end that the same might be corrected. Alderman Stanford seconded the motion which received the unanimous vote of the Council. N: LEVERETT The matter of delinquent collections in North Leverett Street Improvement District was COLLECTIONS: iidiscussed., the members of the Board of Commissioners being present, and taking part in said discussion. The Commissioners were urged to proceed with the necessary legal steps for com- pelling the payment of all delinquent assessments. I COM. ONI The matter of the collecting of the water rates, the Improvement District assessments and COLLECTOR- SIIP: other public moneys coming up for discussion, The Mayor was directed by motion to appoint a committee of the Council to confer with the like committee from the Board of Managers of the Water Plant concerning the matter. The Mayor appointed Aldermen Stanford, Drake and ]Pearson as such committee. 1929 Tags.; On motion the Mayor and the City Collector were authorized and directed to select and.pur-' ]chase a supply of auto tags for the year 1929. iNO further business appearing the Council adjourned.
