Trumbo, Engineer, Ratliff; AldermenDrake, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearsom, Scott, Stanford; absent Alderman Bynum. THE MINUTES ofthe meeting of June 18th, 1928 were read and approved. HE BILLS Listed•below, bearing the proper vouchers, the approval.of the Auditing.Committee, were allowed and ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Fuller, seconded by Alderman Scott, passed by the unanimous vote of the members listed above as present, and so declared by the Mayor;Democrat Publishing Co. $74.76;Simps< Mdntun Co. $5.44;Red Cross Drug Store $2.50; Jess Walters $1.69; W.A.Gregg $3.00 and $2.00; (Washington Co. Hardware Co. $1.50;H.B. Walker $15.00;,J.L.. Street.at.Lot 12,.Block 2, Wilson's First WALK: Ila Ave. Addition to the City of Fayetteville, having expired, and the walk not having been built, ti matter was referred to the City Attorney with instructions to take the necessary steps to cc the construction. This action was taken on motion by Alderman Pearson, seconded by Alderman Jones, and duly passed. [ WALK ACROSS The City Engineer having reported that there was need for the construction of a crossinE ALLEY ONi Be ROCK: walk, on East Rock Street at the alley on the South side thereof, it was ordered that the Engineer be authorized and directed to contract for the construction thereof, at a cost of approximately $18.00. This action was had on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alder- man ''Jones, and duly passed. Curb & At 'the request of Mr. McMurray, it was ordered t t the engineer establish grade for curb Gutter, E.Dickson; and gutter on the South side of East Dickson Street, for 40 feet eastward from the East end IIf the paving. This action was.taken on motion by Alderman Drake,.seconded by Alderman Harding, and duly passed. SEWER At the request of the Frisco Ry. Co., it was ordered that the City Attonney prepare the LINE AT YORK STR.,: necessary papers for making contract with said Company for permitting the sewer line to cross the right-of-:vay of the railroad. EXTRA On motion by A1dArman Jones, sew nded by Alderman Hardin, and duly passed. -the Mayor was POLICE CENTENIAL: authorized to employ such additional poilce as were nedded during the Centenial of the City. WEST SPR. The'time having arrived for the hearing of the appeal of Alice J. Rhea from the action of STR. I.D. HEARING the Board of Assessment in West Spring Street Improvement District Number One,said hearing (McILROY) was accordingly had, and it becoming evident that a determination of the matter was impose ble without additional information, said hearing was continued to July, 2nd, 1928, on moti by Alderman Harding))yy seconded by Alderman Pearson, and duly passed. WILLOW I The indebtedness akillow Avenue Improvement District coming up for discussion, the Clerk AVE, DEBT: direicted to notify the Commissioners and the Assessors of said District to attend the meet of the Council to be held on the 2nd day of July, 1928,in order that a settlement of the matter might be effected, and means for meeting the debt aggar* arranged for.
