Alderman Drake was chosen as President pro tempore, by motion duly put and passed.
THE MINUT S of the meeting of June 11th, 1928 were read and approved.
HEARING, The time having arrived for the hearing of the Second petition for the format(bon of Curb an

GUTTER; Gutier District Number Thirty-eight , the President pro tempore announced that pursuant to

the order of the Council at its peeting of May 28th, 1928, and in -accordance with the notice
thereunder published on the 30th day of May and the 6th day of June, 1928, said petition -will
now.be considered to determine whether the signers thereof do constitute a majority in value
of the owners of real property within slid -District, and that any person wishing to be.heard
in the matter now has opportunity.
I After a thonough investigation of said petition Ald+3i+WR by
the Council, Alderman -Harding introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption.
Alderman Jones seconded the motion to adopt which received the following vote, ayes Aldermen

Council at its meeting of May 28th, 1928,and in accordance with the notice thereunder, publ
on the 30th day of May, 1928 and the 6th day of June 1928, said petition will now be consid
to determine whether those signing said petition constitute a majority in value of the owne
of real property within said District, and that any person wishing to be heard in the matte

Upon information that J.L. Slaughter, C.H. Luther and Bert Watson would be acceptable as
Commissioners of Paving District Number Thirty-nine, and that they -were willing to serve as
such commissioners, Alderman Bynum introduced a resolution providing for tha&r appointment
to constitute the Board of Improvement for said District and moved its adoption. Alderman
Jones seconded the motion to adop# which received the following vote, ayes Aldermen Bynum,
!Drake, Fuller, Harding, Jones, Pearson, Scott, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting none.
The President pro tempore declared the motion passed and the resolution passed. A copy is asl
