ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD
JANUARY 25th, 1928.
' Pursuant to adjourment; the City.Council of.the City of'Fayetteville, Arkansas met at 7.30
P.M. on the 25th day of January, 1928, when.there.were peesent the.Mayor, Clerk, Aldermen
Bynum, Drake, Jones, Pearson, Harding, Scott, and Stanford; absent Alderman Fuller.

MINUTES: The reading of they,meeting of January 23rd, 1928 was postponed to the regular meeting.
PURPOSE: The purpose of the meeting was the selection of the locations for 25 additional street ligh
Aft@r thavough And exhaustive disoussion and investigation, the
plan finally adopted was set forth in the following motion, by
Alderman Jones; -
That, because the demands upon the revenues of
the city_,prohibitec/ the installation of more than.25 additional
lights, said lights be distributed as .follows;- Eight lights in
Ward, Three, Five in Ward One, Six.in Ward Two and Six in Ward
Four; also that no lights be placed elsewhere than at the inter -
ca
section of streets, and that in -so -far as not rendered impractible
by causes beyond the control of the Council, said lights shall
' be located as follows; -
One on South Gregg Street two blocks south of Center;
One at corner of Block and Third;
One at corner of Block and First;
One at corner of Church and Second;
One at Hospital driveway;
One at the corner of. West and Spring;
One at corner ofMont Nord and Mockk;
One at corner of Trenton.Boulevard and Park;
One at corner of Trenton Boulevard and College;
Oneat corner of Prospect and Park;
One at corner of Highland and Davidson;
One at corner of Stone and Huntsville Road;
' I One at end of pavement on Huntsville$oad;
One on Conner Street
One at corner of Center and Willow (between colored
it Churches);
One at corner of Willow and Rock;
Oneat corner of Olive and Spring;
One at corner of Center and Washington(E. of Ct House)
One at corner of Mountain and Washington(E.of Jail);

One Garland and Maple
One at corner of Garland and Douglas;
One at corner of Garland and York,
One at corner of Garland and Eagle;
One at corner of Oakland Avenue and Douglas;
One at corner of Taylor and Whittham;
and, that certain other lights which.are now located near the
intersection of streets shall be removed to the corners.
Alderman Drake seconded the motion which received the following vote;
ayes Aldermen Bynum, Drake, Harding, Jones, Pearson, Scott, Stanford;
nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Fuller, and was declared
passed by the Mayor.
