THE MINUTES of the meeting of December 19th, 1927 were read and approved.
BILLS against the City, bearing the proper vouchers and the approval of the Auditing Com-
mittee were allowed and ordered paid n motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Scott,
passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayo;- Dave Condra $36.00'

City Collector, City Clerk Police Judge and Fire Chief for said month, and the report of the
City Clerk for the year -1927. Alderman Harding moved that said reports be received and filed!

OZARK AVE. The project of paving (surfacing) OarRq Avenue from )"lest Spring Sreet to and including)
' PAVING:
CTY AID: the intersection of Fairview Avenue was presented to the Council, whereupon Alderman Drake
moved that a sum not to exceed $300.00 be appropriated to pay for the paving of the inter-
sections in said territory. This motion was seconded by Alderman Pearson and received the
following vote, ayes Aldermen Harding, Dbrake, Bynum, Jones $ncott, Fuller, Pearson, Stanfor�
nays none; absent and not voting none, and was declared passed by the Mayo.

PLANT: Water plant to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, which was read the first time. Alderman
Pearson moved.that the Rules be suspended and the ordinance placed on its secmnd reading.

the first time. Alderman Pearson moved that the Rules be suspended and the ordinance placed
on its second reading. This motion was seconded by Alderman Jones and received the following

AN ORDINANCE TO BE ENTTLED.° AN HDINANS TO PROVIDE FOR THE PAYMENT
OH THE DEBT OF THE CITY WATER PLANT TO THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARNNSAS."
BE IT ORDAINED BY TE CITY COUNML H.THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARXNSAS:
SECTION SHE.
The.debt due the. City of Fayetteville, arkansas,.from.the City Water Plant of
said City, for money loaned and advanced to said City Water Plant.by the City of Fayettevi
Arkansas,is hereby, after a full and complete audit of all records and acoounts,, fixed and
established at the sum of Eight Thoudand Three Hundred Sixteen Dollars and twenty cents.'
SECTMON TWO:
The City Collector of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be and he is hereby
directed, instructed and authorized to pay to the City -Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,
Revenue"
Arkansas,for the use and benefit of the City General Fund, the.sum of -five Thousadd Dollars
($5,000.00), to be taken from the funds of the City Water Plant, which payment shall be made
on or before February 1st, 1928, and that the remainder, or Three Thousand Three Hundred
Sixteen Dollars and twenty cents ($3,316.20) of the sum so.due , shall be paid by the said
City Collector, to the said City Clerk, -,on or before August 1st, 1928,
SECTION THREE.
That the above pay mants, when so made, shall be for payment in full of all
claims and demands .of the City of Fayetteville against the City Water Plant; and that the
Board of Improvement of Water Improvement District Number One.of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas,and the Bard of Managers of the City Water Plant of said City,be, and they and each
of them and their agents are hereby releived from any and all personal liability by reason
of the payment of the debt aforesaid.
SECTION FUUR.
That this ordinance be in force from and after its passage, approval and publ
cation, and all ordinances or parts thereof in conflict herewith be, and the same are here
repealed.

Alderman Scott moved that the Mayor be authorized to purchase for the use of the Fire
Price not toexceed U20.00.
Department a Charger for re -charging the batteries of the Fire trucks. Alderman Jones
seconded the motion which received the unanimous vote of the 6uncil.
