PRESENT:JThe Mayor, Clerk; Aldermen Hadding, Drake, Bynum, Scott, &uller, Pearson, Stanford; absent Alderman Jones. TEH READING of the Minutes was deferred to the next regular meetin. PURPOSE;JThe Mayor stated the purpose of the meeting to be the consideration of the matter of making a reduction in the water rates of the City hater Plant, the supplementing of the depleted revenues of the City by appropriating a portion of the said revenues;fovt,trho* and confering with the Board of Managers of the said Plant with reference to said matters. SPEAKERS': In addition to the Mayor and the various members of the Council, remarks were made by members of the Board of Water Managers, The City Engineer, and the City Collector.and the City Attorney. (After a thorough discussion , Alderman Pearson moved that the Board of (Managers of the 10 % City '.Vater Plant of the City of F�•etteville, Arkansas be and they are hereby authorized Discount 1 Q n* "all hand directed to allow a discount? n all water bills, provided the same are paid on or befor ' Water Bills; the 10th day of each month; and that this order shall become effective January 1st, 1928. IAlderman Stanford mov6dip seconded the motion which received he following vote; ayes Alderme Harding, Drake, Bynum, Scott, Fuller, Pearson, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting IAlderman Jones. The Mayor declared the motion passed. COMMITTED ON PLAN TO Alderman Pearson then moved that the Mayor appoint a committee to be charged with the d APPROPRI" ATE PART of devising a plan whereby $250.00 shall be transferred, monthly c.from the funds of the OF iVATER FUNDS: City [Rater Plant to the General Fund of the City of Fayetteville. This motion was seconded by Alderman Stanford and received the following vote Ayes Aldermen Drake, Bynum, Scott, Fuller, Stanford Pearson; Nayes Alderman Harding; absent and not voting Alderman Jones. The Mayor declared the motion passed. The Mayor appointed as such committee Aldermen Pearson and Stanford to work in conjunc- tion with himself as Chairman. FOLLOVIING BILLS against t'r_e City, bearing the proper vouchers and the approval pf the Auditing Com- IMittee were allowed and ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for the I same on motion by Alde man Scott, seconded by Ald rman Stanford, passed Xbby the unanimous vote of the Council,except Alderman Bynum, absent, and so declared by the (Mayor; -Dave Condra $36.00; Jim Mitchell 515.00;John Bynum $30.36;Lewis Bros Co. $0.75 and 5j0.70;'A.C. Hart $20.00; (Ben Porter y20.00;Lawrence Gaines $6.25;John Zillah $2.50;Washington County Hardware Co. $3.91;Democrat Printing Co, .$8.75;F'ayetteville Printing Co, $3.50;Democrat Publishing Co. $22.98;J.M. Goolsby `r2.50;Ivlagnolia Petroleum Co. $37.96 and $12.00; Roche & Moore $176.80. CANCELLED The Finance Committee was directed to check all cancelled and paid warrants of the City and W iRRANTS: recommend what disposition shall be made thereof, at its earliest convenience.
