(City Warrant Nukber 11335, having been duplicated by the issuance of warrant Number 11365; Warrant l 7#11335 !was ordered destroyed by motion by Alderman Harding, sesonded by Aldermar_.Drake, passed by, the unanimous vote of the members pro -sent and so declared by the Hayor ; which accordingly was done in the presence of the Council. ANDERSON IThe request of Hayden erson for permission to join the sewer line in the alley adjoining SEVIER: This property on Dickson Street was granted, on condition that he first aLbtain the consent of the owner of the line, on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Pearson, and-'dulj passed. IDr Garrison, State Health Officer was present and addressed the Council on tmatter of Sewers and the proper disposal of the sewage, and urged promptaction in the matter. I Culvert The Commissioners of Improvement District Number Thirty-five of the City of Fayetteville, in Impr. Distr. Arkansas, through the Mayor called attention to the need of extending the culvert across 7#35. the branch so as to form a sidewalk at each side of the street across said branch, and re- 1ported that the estimated cost of the same wcstadi b.ive was $145.00. They proposed that if the i i Re -Assess ment Mont Nord; Distr # 36 V� City would assist to the extent of paying One-half of said cost, the District would pay the other half. Alderman Harding moved that the matter be referred to the Street Committee with power to act. Alder;ian Drake seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Harding, Drake, Bynum, Scott, Fuller, Pearson, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting Alderman Jones. The Mayor declared the motion passed, The Re -assessment of Mont Nord Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas was filed with the Council, whereupon Ald rman Pearson moved that the City Clerk be directed to cause to be published a notice stating that said re -assessment had been so filet and that the same was- is subject to inspection. Alderman Harding seconded the motion which receivec the following vote; ayes Alderman Harding, Drake, Bynum, Scott, Fuller, Pearson, • o Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting no ti� Alderman Jones. The Mayor declared the moti passed. The First report of the Board of Improvement of Paving Improvement District Number six of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas was presented and read, to the Council; thereupon Alderman. Harding moved that said report be received, filed and spread of record. Gent men; Your Board of Commistioners of Paving'Improvement District Number Thiry -six of the City of Fayett'ville, Arkansas, have employed.E.M. Ratlif to prepare -plans and make estimate of cost of pavement to be constructed within Pavi g Im- provement�District Number Thirty-six of the City of Fayetteville. Arkansas, and upo the I streets as set out in the petition. v Bas-fd upon the report of our engineer, we have decided I� to build pavement 20 feet in width, including necessary grading and underdrainage„ upon California Boulevard, all the other streets within the district to be paved sixteen feet in i^;idth,including the necessary grdaing and underdrainage. The type of pavment to be concrete. The detailed specifications to b in agreement with the t current standard practice for this class of construction. The estimated cost of this work as submitted by E.I+I. Ratliff is $34,000.00,and we respect fully requestthat your Honorable Body appoint a Board of Assessment who shall assess the benefits aga�'st the property within Paving Improvement District Number Thirty-six of the i City of Faye eville, Arkansas. The Mayor de - calared the motion passed and the resolution adopted. A copy is as follows; RESOLUTION: APROVAL OF PLANS: 7hereas, at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, held on the 18th day of July, 1927,there was presented to said Council by M. ,.Slade, E. Gary and IT-I.C. Smith,as Boax6 of Improvement of Paving Improvement District Number Thirty-six of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, their report, together with the plans of the work to be done in th i, construction of the improvement contemplated by said Improvement District,and the said report having been read in open meeting of said Counciland said plans having been exhibited to s id total Council and to each member thereof, and it appearing from said plans that the ea44!mated.- cost of said improvement, exclusive of interest charges, is the sum of $34,000.00,& and the said Council being satisfied that the plans are feasible and practicable and that the same are correct, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS, 1 THAT SAID PLANS AND SAID REPORT BE, AND THE SAME ARP, hereby approved and adopted, and that said improvement be constructed according to said plans and at a cost not to exceed, excluez sive of interest charges„ Sy341000.00. Gentlemen; Your Board of Commissioners of Curb and Gutter Dis- trict Number Thirty-seven of the City of Fayetteville. Arkansas, have employed E.M. Ratliff to prepare plans and make estimate of cost of curb and gutter to be conatructed within Curb and Gutter District Number Thirty-s6xen of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and upon the streets as set out im the petition. Based upon the report of made by our engineer, we have decided to build 30 inch, i combination curb and gutter upon all of the streets as mentioned in Ordinance -creating Curb and Gutter District Number Thirty-seven of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. This plan contemplated the necessary grading and expansion for curb Iand gutter. Curbing and Guttering will be so placed that there will be a space for a pavement i twenty feet in width on California Boulevard and space for pavement sixteen feet in width i - i on all other streets. I The setimated cost of this work as submitted by E.M.
