A communication from Mr. Joe Webb, pertaining to the condition of a portion of Fletcher Ave was presented, with the request that some steps be taken to remedy the washed-out places -said communication was referred to the Chairman of the Street Committee for report. S: The following bills against the'City bearing the proper vouchers, and having the approval of the Auditing Committee were ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Scott, passed by the unanimous votl of the members listed above as present, and so declared by the Mayor;Dave Condra $$36.00; W.G. The City Engineer filed a report showing that the expense to the City for the extension of the pavement on East Dickson would be about $125.00; and requested further time in the matter I of the culvert on Rebecca Avenue, which was granted. Alderman Harding introduced an ordinance providing for the installation of fire escapes in certain buildings, which was read the First time. Alderman Pearson moved that the Rules be suspended and the ordinance placed on tts second reading.
