INUTES:1 The Minutes of the Meeting of May 16th, 1927 were read and approved.-

A communication from Mr. Joe Webb concerning the flood waters at the intersection of Dicks
And University wts read to the Council and on motion was referred to the Street Committee,
the Mayor and the City Engineer for investigation and report.
An ordinance to ammend Ordinance Number 361, was presented and on motion was referred to
the Ordinance Committee.

seconded this motion wh6ch received the following vote; -ayes Aldermen Harding, Drake,
Buller, Pearson, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting Alderm n Jones, and Scott.
The Mayor declared. the motion passed. The ordinance was read the third time. The Mayor then
announced the question before the Council is shall t e Ordinance pass, and called for the
vote on its passage, which resulted as follows; ayes Aldermen Harding, Drake, Bynum, Fuller
' Pearson, Stanford; nays none; absent and not voting Aldermen Jones and Scott. The Mayor

AND ALLEYS IN OAK PARK PLACE SUBDIVISION OF A TRACT OF LAND WITHIN THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS".

WHEREAS,, on the 31st day of may, 1927,E.M.Ratliff and M.B.Slade duly filed in the office of
the Circuit Clerk and Recorder of Washington County, Arkansas,a plat known as the Oak Park
!Place, a Subdivision of a tract of land in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, in which
said E.M. Ratliff and M.B. Slade dedicates for public use all streets and alleys as shown by
said plat,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUJCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS,
SECTION ONE: That the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas hereby accepts and confirms the dedicati
j of all streets and alleys dedicated in Oak Park Place of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,,
and hereby declares said streets and alleys to be public streets and alleys and said City
Council hereby assumes the care, control and ,jurisdiction of the same.
SECTION TWO: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after its
passage, approval and publication.

Alderman Pearson moved that the City Clerk be directed to issue a warrant to City Attorney

Geo. A. Hurst in the sum of $50.00, to defray his expenses to Little Rock for the purpose of
se -luring such approval of the proposed bond issue in Annex Number One to •
South College Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas;'
'as would render the said District able to proceed with the construction of said improvement.
Alderman Harding seconded the motion which received the following vote ayes Alderman Hard-
Ing, Drake, Bynum, Fuller, Pearson, Stanford; nays no e; absent and not voting Aldermien
Jones and Scott. The Mayor declared the motion passed.
On motion it was ordered that the clerk invite the members of the Board of Improvement of
!the above mentioned District to be present at the meeting of the Council on Monday June 6th
1927.
