DDJOURNED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
HELD APRIL 8th, 1927.
PRESENT, The Mayor, Clerk; Aldermen Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Jones, Scott, Watson;
absent Alderman Bynum.
reading of the minutes of the meeting of April 4th, 1927 was deferred to the next regu-
meeting.
;rman Phillips introduced an ordinance providing for the submission to the vote of the
,tors off Fayetteville, Arkansas of a proposition to issue $75,000.00 bonds of the City
the purpose of purchasing or building a City Hall and other purposes whibh was redd the
irst time. Alderman Harding moved that the Rules be suspended and the ordinance placed on
its second reading. This motion was seconded by Alderman Watson and received the following
ayes Aldrmen Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Jones, Scott, Watson; bays none; absent
not voting Alderman Bynum. The mayor declared the motion passed. The Ordinnace was read
the second time. After some discussion the ordinance was left on its second reading.
motion by Ald�lerman Watson, seconded by Alderman Scott and passed by the unanimous vote
of the members present, *h# a new Standing Committee was created, to be known as the Steart
Cleaning Committee, and the mayor was authorized to appoint such committee.
No further business appearing the Council adjourned.

REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD
APRIL 18th, 1927.
(PRESENT, The Mayor, Clerk; Aldermen Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Bynum, Scott, Watson;
absent Alderman Jones,
The Minutes of the meetings of April 4th, and April 8th, 1927, wereread and approved.
BILLS: The following bills against the City, bearing the proper vouchers, and the approval of the
Auditing Committee, were allowed and ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue war -
ants for the same on motion by Alderman Price, seconded by Ald=rman Phillips, passed by the
nanimous vote of the Cpuncil and so declared by the Mayor; -Dave Condra $36.00; and $36.00;
ropical Paint & Oil Co. $26.56, Campbell -Bell D.G. Co. $1.14;Ellis Sutton, $17.50; John
illah $71.25;Fayetteville, Ma chine Shop $1.30; Ownbey Drug Co. $6.00; Fayetteville Printing
o, $1.00, $2.00,and $5.00; Southwest Power Co. $391.25; J.W. Shelley 17.75; W.A. Gregg
1.25, Goss -Rogers Co. $4.15;Bert Watson $145.75. �
ARING Alderman Harding moved that the hearing of appeals from the action of the Board of assess -

33; ment in Improvement District Number Thirty-three be continued to the next regular meeting
of the Council to be held on April 25th, 1927. Ald erman Drake seconded the motion which
,received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Phillips, Price, Harding Drake By Watson;
,nays none; absent and not voting A1defman Jones. The Mayor declared the motion passed.

Clerk reported that the revised assessment list for North Leverett Street Improvement
strict was filed with him on the 16th of April, 1927; whereupon Alderman Harding moved that
e Clerk be directed to publish a notice stat&ng that said revised assessment list had
een so filed by the Board of assessment of said District and that the same is now opem for
nspection. Alderman Price seconded the motion which received the following votes ayes
