Informally, the Mayor was requested to take up with the Gibson Oil Company the matter of
car -washing on thier lot on College Avenue to the end that the filthy condition of the
street adjacent to said lot might remedied.
I
Also, withput formal action, the matter of making sewer connections in certain sections
of the City was discussed and the Board of Health requested to enforce the ordinances in
such case made.
No further business appearing, the Council, on motion, adjourned to Friday
March 18th, 1927. at 700 P.M.

The Mayor being absent, the Clerk called the Council to order, whereupon Alderman Price was
duly elected to be President proi6 tempore of the Council, and took charge of the meeting.

!THE ROLL CALL showed the following present; Aldermen Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Bynum,
Jones, Scott , Watson; the Clerk; absent, the Mayor.
THE READING OF THE MINUTES of the previous meeting was, on motion, deferred to the next

regular meeting.

## The President pro tempore announced the purpose of the meeting to be the hearing of the

appeals from owners of real property in Improvement District Number thirty-three (33) of tk
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, from the action of the Board of assessment thereof, in I
Ievyl- assessing the benefits to be received by reason of the proposed improvement, and
directed that said hearing proceed. Whereupon Alderman Harding moved that in as much as the
said owners of real property were desirous of more time for investigation before presenting

their claims, the hearing be continued to the next regular meeting of the Council on the
21st day of March, 1927 at 79&30 P.M. Alderman Bynum seconded the motion which received the
following vote, ayes Aldermen Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Bynum, Jones, Scott, Watson.
nays none; absent and not voting none, and was declared passed bfhe President pro tempore.
No further business appearing, the Council adjourned. d

THE MINUTES of the meetings of March 14th and 18th, 1927 were read and approved,

FOLLOWING BILLS against the

vouchers, and having the approval!

the Auditing Committee, were
allowed
and ordered
paid
and the Clerk was instructed to
issue warrants for the same on motion by Alderrpam Drake, Seconded by Alderman Hardmng, pass -.1
ed by the unanimous vote of the members present and so declared by the Mayor, John Zillah
$142.37; Dave Condra $36.00; Heerwagen Bros Co. $6.50 and $11.50; Washiggton County Hard -
ware Co. $1.50.
The appellants in the matter of the assessments in Improvement District Number Thirty-
three (33) of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, being present, requested that said hearing
be further continued, and thereupon Alderman Harding moved that said hearing be continued
to the next regular meeting of the City CouncAl,to be held on the 28th day of March, 1927.
