Southside of Dickson Street near the Station was presented, and on motion was referred to
Street Committee.
Alderman Drake, for the Finance Committee presented a report on the Financial condition of
the City, together with the proposed budget for the year 1927. After some discussion, the
of the budget was defered to the next regular meeting,
The proposed plan of eqializing assessments in Improvement Districts, and.providing for an
assistant for the various Boards of assessment was discussed at some length, but no
tion was taken. On motion the matter was deferred to a meeting to be held on the 11th day

The reading of the Minutes was deferred to the next Regualr meeting.
The following bills against the City, having the proper vouchers attached, and the approval
f the Auditing Committee were ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for
he same; Geo J. Mayer Co. $169.15;Ellis Sutton, $10.00;Wm. L. Bleecker $14.00; Dr. Harrisdn
ale $15.00;J.M. Goolsby $3;50.;;W.H. Rollins $1.00;
The matter of regulating the assessments of Improvement Districts was thoroughly discussed
ut no action was taken.

lderman HeP41ag moved that Alderman Phillips be sent to Little Rock to look after the Ixte
nterests of the City in the matter of the division of the gasoline Tax. AldermanHarding
seconded the motion which receibed the following vote; ayes Aldermen Phillips, Drake, Jones,
3ynum Scott, Harding. and was declared passed by the Mayor.
No further business appearing the Countil adjourned.

REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
HELD JANUARY, 17th, 1927.
Present; the Mayor , Claek; Aldermen Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Bynum, Jones, Scott,
Watson.
The minutes of the meetings of January 10th and 11th, 1927 were read and approved.
The following bills against the City, bearing the proper vouchers, and the approval of the
Auditing Committee, were allowed and ordered paid on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded
by Alderman Price, passed by the unanimous vote 8 the Council and so declared by the Mayor
Geo J. Mayer Co. $79.80;J.M. Phillips $48.00;Jim Mitchell $6.25; Dave Condra $36.00;John Z
Zillah $15.00.
Alderman Watson moved that the hearing on the protests against the granting of permit to
erect Business house in Block 32 be had at a special meeting of the Council to be held on
!Wednesday, January 19th, 1927. Alderman Jones seconded the motion which recetted the follo

none, and was declared passed by the Mayor.
The report of City Engineer Ratliff as to the erection of a filling station on North Col -
lege was presented and on mtion was ordered filed.

1927 The Finance Committee, by Alderman Drake, presented the proposed Budget of City Exoenses
BUDGETt for the year 1927, and explained fully the diffrent items of the same.
