office in said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,on the 27th day of Dec. 1926,beginning at
7;30 PM. of said Day.
SECTION TWO:
That the City Clerk of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, be and he is hereby
instructed and directed.to cause to be published a noticein accordance with Section One,
Act 125, Acts of Arkansas„ 1913, advising all owners of real property within Improvement
District Number Thirty -Fine of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, that a hpebitJoni*Asbpre
sented to said City Council on the 6th day of December, 1926, requesting that the contem-
plated improvement be undertaken, and that the costs thereof be charged and assessed against
the real property within said District; and that on the 27th day of December, 1926, the saic
City Council will determine whether or not said petition is signed by such majority in
assessed valuation.
Passed and approved this 6th day of December, 1926.

On motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Watson, Goss -Rogers Electric Cc was
given permission to out the pavement ::for the laying of a conduit for wires to the new
Passenger Station on Dickson Street, under the supervision of the City Engineer,

REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL HELD
DECEMBER 13th, 1926.
Present, the Mayor and Clerk; Aldermen Phillips. Price , Harding Drake, .Bynum. Jones, Scott,
Watson; absent none. .
The Minutes of the meeting of December 6th were read and approved.
The following bills against the City, having the proper vouchers attached and having been
approved by the Auditi Committee were ordered paid on motion by Alderman Price, seconded
by Ald�rman Harding,passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the May
Allan M. Wilson, $33.71 Barnsdale Refining Co. $16.45; John Zillah $2.40; John Zillah x$97.5
Dave Condra $36.00; Jim Mitchell x$15.00;
The bill of the Phoenix Construction Co. for paving University Ave -
PHOENIX nue, fob the sum of x$1,530.96, was presented and on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by
CONSTR.
CO,Alderman Watson, passed by the following vote,to-wit; ayes Aldrmen Phillips, Price, Harding,

by the Mayor, was ordered paid and the ClerR was instructed to draw two warrants therefor,
one in the sum of x$557.00, the amount collected by Aldrman 33adlRg Harding, and one for the
sum of -$994' 973.96.
The report of the City Engineer on the proposal of Mr. Rieff for the paving of a part of
West Avenue by setting the curb back about 321 feet was presented and on motion was ordered
received and filed.
Alderman Phillips moved that the Street Committee be authorized to further investigate the
matter of the paving above referred to with power to contract for the City's part of the
same, remaining'within the limits of the estimated cost of one-half of $135.00.
Thi s motion was seconded by Alderman Watson and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen
Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Bynum, Jones, Scott, Watson; nays none and was declared
passed by the Mayor.

The question of extending the time for payment of dues in Improvement Districts was discuss
by various members -of the Council and the Mayor.
Alderman Watson moved that the Commissioners of Sewer Improvement District be requested to
report to the Council the present condition of the work, and the plans for the future.
Alderman Jones seconded the motion which received the unandmous.vote of the Council.
On motion by Alderman Drake, the City Ebgineer was directed to furnish Mr. C.D. Bates with
grade for sidewalk along the North side of Maple Street from -the corner of Maple and Van
deventer about 150 feet Eastward._
No further business appearing, the Council adjourned.

Present; the Mayor, Clerk; Aldermen Phillips, Price,.Harding, Drake, Bynum, Jones, Scott
Watson; absent none.
The minutes of the meeting of December 13th, 1926 were readr and approved.
The following Bills against the City weee ordered paid and the Clerk directed to issue
warramts for the same, said bills having the properi vouchers attached and having been ap-
proved by the auditing Committee,- on motion by Ald rman Drake, seconded by Aldrman Price
passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayor; E.M. Ratliff
$441:40; Barnsdale Refining Co. $5.61; Jim Mitchell $15.00; Dave Condra $p36.00; Phoenix
Construction Co. $45.75; American Railway Express Co. $1.12;
A petition requesting that the_ two-hour parking ordinance be amended to include one
block of East Center Street was presented, whereupon Alderman Price moved that the City
Attorney be instructed to prepare such amendment. Alderman Harding seconded the motion
which received the unanimous vote of the Council, and was declared passed by the Ma-yoe.
A number of bids for constructing the concr6te dip on the extension of Wall Street were
opened and read to the Council, and after some discussion they were referred to the City
er for examination and report.
On motion by Alderman Jones seconded by Alderman Harding and passed by the unanimous vote
of the Council the Clerk was directed to issue warrants for the City Pay -roll on the 24th
of December for the Decembed , 1926 salaries.
On motion by Alderman Watson, seconded by Alderman Price and passed by the unanimous vote
of the Council it -was ordered that the Mayor be authorized.to have the charge for Tele-
phone service for Patrolman Shelley placed on the City Phone bill.
No further business appearing the Council adjourned.
