SECTION TWO:
That the said Dsirtrict shall hereafter be known and dezignated as Improvement
Distric# Number Thirty -Five of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
SECTION THREE:
That said District is laid off for the -purpose of grading said streets, a
parts of streets and parts of avenues as may be more fully determined hereafter by the
of Improvement of said Improvement District.
SECTION FOUR:
That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its pas
approval and publication, and all ordinances and parts of.ordinances in conflict herewith
be and the same are hereby, repealed

Your Board of Improvement for Improvement District
Number Thirty -One have employed E.M. Ratliff to prepare plans and.estimates, and upon the r(
port of our Engineer we have decided to cohstruct a pavement 22. -feet in width on Davidson
Avenue from College Avenue to Highland Avenue, and 30 feet in width on North College Avenue
from Davidson Avenue to Prospect Avenue, and 18 feet in.width on -North College Avenue from
Prospect 4venue to the North City Limits.
Based upon the estimates of our Engineer the estimated cost of our improve-
ment is Twenty three Thousand, Eight Hundred Sixty Three ($23,863.00) Dollars.
We respectfully request that your Honorable Body approve our plans and that
you appoint a Board of Assessment who shall assess the benefits against the property wihtin
the District.

The undersigned, your petitioners would respectfully represent.and show that a petition
signed by ten property owners in the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and within the terri-
tory described within the said petition was presented to your Honorable Body on the 20th
day of November, 1926s praying that your Honorable Body take all necessary steps for the
creation of an Impro vement District embracing the territory described in said petition
for the purpose of improving by grading, rolling and paving the following streets, avenues
parts of streets or parts of avenues as hereinafter described,to-wit;

The Minutes of the meeting of December 6th were read and approved.
The following bills against the City, having the proper vouchers attached and having been
approved by the AuditiAComd:ittee were ordered paid on motion by Alderman Price, seconded
by Ald-rman Harding,passed by the unanimous vote of the Council and so declared by the Mayor
Allan M. Wilson, $33.71 Barnsdale Refining Co. $16.45; John Zillah $2.40; John Zillah $97.50
Dave Condra $$36.00; Jim Mitchell $$15.00;
The bill of the Phoenix Construction Co. for paving University Ave-
nue, fob the sum of $1,530.96, was presented and on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by
Alderman Watson, passed by the following vote,to-wit; ayes Aldrman Phillips, Price, Harding,
lDrake, Bynum, Jones, Scott, Watson; nays none; absent and not.voting none, anddeclared passe
�by the Mayor, was ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to draw two warrants therefor,
Ione in the sum of $557.00, the amount collected by Aldrman HadIng Harding, and one for the
sum of -#959- 973.96.

setting
the curb back
about 321 feet was
presented
and
on motion was
ordered
received and filed.
Alderman Phillips moved that the Street Committee be authorized to further investigate the
matter of the paving above referred to with power to contract for the City's part of the
same, remaining within the limits of the estimated cost of one-half of $135.00.
Thi s motion was seconded by Alderman Watson and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen
Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Bynum, Jones, Scott, Watson; nays none and was declared
passed by the Mayor.
