BILLS: The following Bills against the City, having been approved by the Auditing Committee and bearing the required vpouchers,weee allowed and ordered paid and the cClerk was directed to slue warrants for the same on motion by Alderman Price, seconded by Alderman Harding, pass the unanimous vote of the Council, and so declared by the Mayor, John Zillah, x$36.25; pson-Mintun Co. 4,$14.10 and$$8.32; Ft.L.Crouch $2.20; Dave Condra $36.00. 3EPORTS: I Appeals from Eighteen citizens living within the limits of Annex Number One to South Cillleg'e, Reports were presented by the City Purchasing Agent, The City Collector, The Police Judge, Ind The Fire Chief; and on motion by Alderman Harding ,duly seconded and passed were ordered PPEALS, I Appeals from Eighteen citizens living within the limits of Annex Number One to South Cillleg'e, ANNEX I 1 TO Avenue Improvement District were filed, and on motion by Alderman Price, seconded by Alderman S. COL AVE. Harding and duly passed, the hearing of said Appeals was continued to Friday October 8th, I 1926 at 7;30 P.M., and the Clerk was directed to publish notice of such hearing. ERUESTS: The request of Mrs. Nunnally for permission to re-lay the sidewalk in front of the building occupied by Abshier-Bryan Motor Co., om Eas t Street was granted, the same to be under the 'supervision of the City Engineer. i The request for assistance in repairing Vilest Meadow Street was referred to the Chairman of the Street Committee and the Mayor with power to act, on motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by ,Alderman Scot, and duly passed. DISTR. 33 Alderman Harding introduced an Ordinance creating Improvement District Number 33, which was read t%:e first time. Alderman Price moved that the Rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second reading. This motion was -seconded by Aldetman Drake and received the folie lowing vote; ayes Aldermen Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Bynum, Jones, Scott, Watson; I nays none; absent and not voting none, and was declared passed by the Mayor. The Ordinance was read the second time. Alderman Drake them moved that the Rules be further suspended and be Ordinance placed on its third reading and final passage. Alderman Phillips moved that the Rules be suspended and the ordinance CONNEC- placed on its second reading. This Motion was seconded by Alderman Harding and received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Phillips, Price, Hardinf, Drake, Bynum, Sones, Scott, Watson; TIONS nays None ; absent and not voting none. The Mayor declared the motion passed. The ordinance was read the second time. On motion, the Mayor the n appointed a committee composed of Aldermen Bynum, Phillips and Harding to confer with the Board of Water Managers with reference to the subject matter of the ordinance. LOCATION The matter of selecting the proper locations for the Street lights under the new Contract OF EET as discussed informally, and finally referred to the Light Committee, composed of Aldermen LIGHTS: arding, Phillips and Drake, to be by them worked out in co-laboration with the other Alder -1 en in the various Wards, and reported to the Council for action.
