Douglas Street Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, their
report, duly subscribed by each of them;
NUW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: That the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,be, and he is hereby,

A communication from Sidney Guard, Re. drainage from College Avenue paving into the Machine
CATIONS:
Shop on East Center Street was read to the Council and on motion was referred to the Street
Committee for investigation and report.
iEQUESTS:
A request for permission to out the pavement on Dickson Street for the pirposegl of making
a sewer connection for the Frisco Station, was referred to the City Engineer with power to
act.
POPCORK
The request of Mrs Frank Watts for permission to install a Popcorn stand on the pavement
adjacent to the sidwwalk in front of the Wade Building, was referred to the Mayor and the
Chief of Police.
A request from Mr. W.J.McCoy for permission to be granted to the St.Louis-Sanfransisco
SPUR
Railway Company to construc9�a Spur across Prairie A venue was presented, and after some

The mayor declared the motion passed. The Ordinance was read the third time.
The Mayor then announced the question before the Council is shall the Ordinance pass, and
called for the vote on its passage, which resulted as follows; Ayes Aldermen Phillips,

AN ORDINANOE PROVIDING FOR THE GRANTING OF AUTHORITY TO THE ST.LOUIS-SANFRANSISCO RAILWWY C
COMPANY TO CONSTRUCT, MAINTAIN AND OPERATE A SPUR TRACK ACROSS PRAIRIE AVENUE, IN THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, IN THE COUNTY OF WASHINGTON, STATE OF ARKANSAS,
BE IT ARDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE:
That the right is hereby granted unto the St. Louis-SanFransisco Railway Com-
.panyto construct', maintain and repair a spur track across and within the limits of PrAirie
avenue,in the City of Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas,said portion of said track
to extend in a Northwesterly and Southeasterly direction across Prairie Avenue in the City
of Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas,a distance of about 61 feet from a point on
the North line of said Avenue to which is about 168 feet East of the intersection of the
North line of said. Avenue with the Northerly projection of the East line of Gregg Street
to a point on the South line of said Avenue,which is about 195 feet €"M East of the inter
section of said South line with the East line of Gregg Street.
SECTION TWO;
That the right is hereby granted to the St. Louis-SanFransisco Railway Company
to operate its trains over the spur to be constructed and maintained as provided in Sectic
One of this Ordinance.
SECTION THREE:
That the St. Louis-SanFransisco Railway Company shall repair all damage done
to the paving,gutters, curbs and sidewalks resulting from thr construction of said Spur
trackmentioned in Section One of this Ordinance, and shall also keep in a rrasonable state
of repair all paving, gutters, curbs and sidewalks within and adjacent to that portion of
said Street eccupied by said track.
This ordinance shall take effect when plans and specifications for such construction are al
proved by the City Engineer of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and after its passage,
approval and publication.
