The proposal to extend Dickson and Sutton Streets was.discussed at some length, and on
motion by Alderman Price, seconded by Alderman Harding was ref.@rred to the City Engineer
for report as to the probable cost.
Alderman Price introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. Alderman Ha
Ing seconded this motion, which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Phillips, Price;
harding, Drake, Bynum, Scott, Watson; nays none, absent and not voting, Alderman Jones,
was declared j eby the Mayor. A copy 'is as follows;-

WHEREAS, there is a vacancy in the membership of the Board of Assess@4e for Sewer Improve-
ment District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, bIreason of the rsignation
of B.F.Campbell from said Board,

REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
HELD AUGUST 16th, 1926.
Present; the Mayor, Clerk; Aldermen Phillips, Price, Harding, Drake, Bynum, Scott, Wffitson,
absent Alderman Jones.
The miutes of the meeting of August 9th were read and approved.
The following bills against the City haveing been approved by the Auditing Committee,•with
proper vouchers attached, werw ordered paid and the Clerk was directed to issue warrants f,
the same on motion by Alderman Phillips, seconded by Aldrman.Harding, passed by the unani:r
vote of the members present, and so declared by the Mayor,- Gardner Office Suppljt Co. $58,

On motion by Alderman Price, seconded by Alderman Watson and passed by the unanimous vote

GENTLEMEN:
Your Board of Commissioners for Improvement District Number Thirty-two have employed E.M.
Ratliff to prepare plans and .make estimates -of cost of grading, rolling and constructing
curb and gutter to be constructed within Improvement District Number Thirty-two on Douglas
Street fromthe West line of Storer Avenue to the West.line of Lindell Avenue and.Oakland
Douglas
Avenue fromthe North line of West Maple Street to the South line.of Starer Street and
Lindell West
-9aklan4 Avenue from the North line of Maple Street to the South line og Douglas Street
of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Based on the report made by our Engineer, we have decided to construct' curb and gutter.
Estimated cost of this work as submitted by E.M. Ratliff is $8,250.00, and we request that
your Honorable Body appoint a Board of Assessment who shall assess the benefits against the
property within Improvement District Number Thirty-two of the City of Fayetteville,

Alderman Price introduced a resolution approving the report of the Commissioners of Dis-
trict Number Thirty-two of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and.moved its adoption.
Alderman Drake seconded the motion which received the following vote; ayes Aldermen Phillip:

at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Fyyetteville, Arkansas held on the
16th day of August, 1926, there.was peesented to said Council by L.M.Holt and H.L. Jett,as
the Board of Commissioners of Improvement District Number.Thir.ty-two of the City of Fay-
etteville, Arkansas, their report, together with the plans of the work to be done in the
construction of the contemplated improvement by daid Improvement District, Bgand the said
report having been read in open meeting of the said Council, and said planX having been
exhibited to said Council and to each member thereof, and it appearing from said plans and
report that the total cost of said improvement,exclusive of interest charges is the sum of
#8,250.00, and the said Council being satisfied that the said plans are feasible and prac-
e, and that the same are correct,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL.OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
That said plans and said report be, and the same are hereby approved and adopted, and that
the said improvement be constructed according to said plans, and at a cost not to excedd
exclusive of interest charges and inclusive of contingencies, the sum of $8,250.00 /

Alderman Price moved that the Rules be suspended and the Ordinance placed on its second
reading. This motion was seconded by Alderman Drake and received the following vote; ayes
