ordinance placed on its second reading. This motion.was .seconded by.Alderman Bynum and ree
ceived the following vote; ayes Aldermen Phi111ps,.Price, Harding, Drake, Bynum, Scott,
Watson; nays none; absenb and not voting Alderman Jones,_and:was declared passed by the
Mayor, The ordinance was read the second time,. and so remains.

Aldermen Bynum and Jones.
The Minutes of the meetings of July 6th and July 9th, 1926.were read and aiproved.
On motion by Alderman Phillips, seconded by Alderman Harding:, passed by the unanimous
vote of the members present, and so deal ared.by the.Mayor., the -following bills,having been
approved by the Auditing Committee, were allowed and ordered paid,and the Clerk was directec
to issue warrants for the same.

On motion by Alderman Harding, seconded by Alderman Drake, and passed by the unanimous
of the members present, the clerk was directed to ascertain the cost of the sidewalk along
the Hospital property, and the amount of'the assessment against said property for School
Street Improvement District, and after deducting said amounts to issue a warrant to the
Board of Trustees of the Hospital for the remainder of,the Hospital Fund,

the first time. Aldrman Harding moved that the Rules be suspended and the ordinance placed
on its second reading. This motion was seconded by Alderman Drake, and received the follow-

and not voting Aldermen Bynum and Jones, and was declared passed by the Mayor..The ordinance

declared passed by the Mayor. The Ordinance was read the third time. The Maydr then called

NOW, THEREFORE,.BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKXNSAS:
SECTION ONE:
That Ordinance number 625, passed and approved on the 28th day of June, 1926,
and the same is hereby, repealed.
SECTION TWO:
That this ordnance shall take effect and be in force from and after its pass
approval and publication.

IMPROVIENG EAST ROCK STREET FROM THE EAST LINE OF SOUTH'COLLEGE ANENUE TO THE EAST LINE OF
MILL AVENUE, MILL AVENUE FROM THE SOUTH LINE OF EAST ROCK STREET TO THE JUNCTION OF THE HUNT
VILLE ROAD, AND HUNTSVILLE ROAD FROM THE JUNCTION OF MILL AVENUE TO THE WEST LINE OF THE
ALLEY WHICH LIES BETWEEN 'L'OTS SEVEN(7) AND EIGHT (8) , BLOCK TWO (2),NORWOOD'S SECOND ADDI-
TION TO THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,.ARKANSAS.
WHEREAS, at a meeting of the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,(held)on the
28th day of Junex, 1926,a petition signed by ten owners of real property within the District
hereinafter described in Section -One of this ordinance was presented to said City Council,
asking that it take steps for the making of an improvement,consisting of grading, rolling ani
pavingthe following streets and parts of streets as may be more fully determined by the
Board of Improvement of said District,to-wit;

project as a whole, to which request the Mayor replied,
etting forth the limitations of the City in the matter of aiding improvement Districts.
Alderman Drake moved that the proposed ordinance for the payment of $4,000.00 to the
ommissioners of North Leverett Avenue Improvement District be placed on its third reading
final passage. Ald rman Watson seconded the motion which received the following vote;
